Hero MotoCorp’s electric vehicle brand VIDA has officially entered the Nepalese market, marking its first international expansion and the start of global operations. The launch was announced through a distributor partnership with CG Motors, part of Nepal’s leading Chaudhary Group.

This strategic move builds on Hero MotoCorp’s established presence in Nepal since 2014. The company is introducing two key product lines tailored to Nepalese riders’ diverse needs: the VIDA VX2 EVOOTER range for everyday commuters and the VIDA DIRT.E K3 youth off-roader for younger riders

The VX2 portfolio includes two main variants — VX2 Plus and VX2 Go — designed for practicality, performance, and Nepal’s varied terrain.

  • VX2 Plus: Features a high-performance setup with dual removable 2.2 kWh batteries (total 4.4 kWh). It offers a claimed real-world range of up to 140 km, a top speed of 90 km/h, and strong 18-degree gradeability. Acceleration from 0-40 km/h comes in 3.1 seconds. Fast charging (0-80%) takes about 65 minutes.
  • VX2 Go: Equipped with a single 2.2 kWh removable battery, delivering a real-world range of around 75 km and a top speed of 70 km/h (0-40 km/h in 4.2 seconds).

Both variants support home charging via a standard 5A socket and include premium features such as the My VIDA app for navigation, geo-fencing, call/SMS alerts, and over-the-air (OTA) updates. The scooters are noted for high initial quality, having ranked top in relevant studies.

VIDA Dirt.E K3: Fun and Safe Electric Off-Roader for Young Riders

The Dirt.E K3 targets children aged 4-10 years and stands out with its innovative three-size adaptive system. Parents can easily adjust seat height, wheelbase, and handlebar position (small, medium, and large configurations) as the child grows, extending the bike’s usability.

Key specifications include:

  • 350W (continuous) / 500W (peak) motor paired with a removable 360Wh lithium-ion battery.
  • Up to 3 hours of riding time depending on terrain and mode.
  • Three speed modes with app-based parental controls for speed and acceleration limits.
  • Charging from 20-80% in about 2 hours.
  • Safety-focused design with impact-absorbing components, child-scaled brake lever, and a magnetic lanyard kill switch.
  • Lightweight at just 22 kg.

The Dirt.E K3 has received international acclaim, including the Red Dot Design Award 2025 and CES Innovation Award 2026.
