Ultraviolette has registered its highest monthly sales yet in July 2026 as the performance-focused EV manufacturer sold 694 units. The Bengaluru-based electric motorcycle maker achieved a strong 406 percent increase in sales year-on-year, rising sharply from the 137 units delivered in July 2025. This record figure marks a significant milestone for the premium EV brand that has steadily expanded its presence in India’s electric two-wheeler market since beginning retail sales in February 2023.
The introduction of Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) options combined with the more versatile X-47 model appears to have played a key role in driving this surge. Through its Battery Flex programme, Ultraviolette has substantially reduced the upfront cost of ownership by allowing customers to purchase the motorcycle at a lower price while subscribing to the battery on a monthly plan. This approach has made the brand’s high-performance electric motorcycles more accessible to a wider range of buyers who previously found the full purchase price challenging. At the same time, the X-47 crossover has resonated strongly with customers seeking a blend of practicality, comfort and sporty performance, contributing the majority of recent volumes and helping the company move beyond its earlier focus on pure performance machines.
The strong July result continues a clear upward trend visible throughout 2026. After opening the year with solid numbers and steadily building momentum through the summer months, Ultraviolette has already crossed 3,200 units sold in calendar year 2026. This pace puts the company on track for its strongest full-year performance yet and reflects growing acceptance of premium electric motorcycles in a market still dominated by more affordable mass-market electric scooters.
Looking ahead, Ultraviolette has two more lower-price models in the works that are expected to further broaden its customer base and support continued volume growth. These upcoming products, including an electric scooter, are designed to sit below the current motorcycle range and open the brand to a larger segment of buyers. Combined with ongoing expansion of its experience centre network and manufacturing capacity, the company is positioning itself for the next phase of scale.
With almost no direct competition in the high-performance electric motorcycle space and a product strategy that now balances performance, versatility and improved affordability, Ultraviolette is well placed to build on this record monthly performance. The July numbers demonstrate that targeted pricing initiatives and a more versatile model lineup can unlock meaningful demand, setting a positive trajectory for the remainder of 2026 and beyond in India’s evolving electric two-wheeler landscape.
