India’s electric two-wheeler market is entering another interesting phase with several new electric scooters set to arrive in the remaining months of 2026 and the first half of 2027. The segment has seen spectacular growth in 2026, with more than one million electric two-wheelers registered during the year. TVS, Bajaj, Ather and Vida continue to dominate the field, while brands such as VinFast, Ultraviolette and Suzuki are gearing up to take on a bigger role.
1. Honda QC3
The Honda QC3 is one of the most exciting upcoming electric scooters aimed at the Indian market. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India unveiled the QC3 in July 2026 as part of its 10-product Made-in-India portfolio. The QC3 features a larger 3 kWh battery and is designed to be a more family-friendly electric scooter.
According to Honda, the QC3 has an IDC range of up to 151 km, while charging from 0 to 80 percent takes around 2 hours and 40 minutes. The QC3 also has 32 litres of under-seat storage, a Smart Key, and a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with connected features. Honda has not yet revealed the final launch price or launch date, though industry sources estimate its market launch will be towards the end of 2026.
2. Ather Redux
The Ather Redux is another electric two-wheeler making waves ahead of the next phase of India’s EV market. However, unlike the QC3, the Redux is currently a concept vehicle and Ather has not yet confirmed a November 2026 production launch.
Ather initially showcased Redux as a futuristic concept mixing the characteristics of a scooter with a motorcycle. The company developed a dedicated aluminium chassis with a vertically positioned battery, and focused on agility, performance and a new interpretation of electric two-wheeler design. Ather has described Redux as a concept created to explore the future of personal mobility rather than as a confirmed production model.
A few industry websites currently estimate a production version could arrive around November 2026 with a price around ₹1 lakh. However, these details should be considered tentative as Ather has not officially confirmed the launch date, final name, specifications or pricing.
If Ather eventually develops a production scooter based on the Redux design, it could bring a substantially different design language to the company’s portfolio. Ather’s existing strengths in software, connectivity and ride technology could also be carried over to a future production model, potentially allowing the company to target a broader group of urban electric-scooter buyers.
3. Suzuki Burgman Street Electric
Suzuki is also expected to jump into the premium electric scooter space in India with an electric version of the Burgman Street. The model is expected to retain the maxi-scooter-inspired design associated with the Burgman name and adopt an electric powertrain.
Current industry estimates indicate that the Burgman Street Electric could arrive towards the end of 2026 with a price expected to be around the ₹1.05 lakh to ₹1.20 lakh range. However, Suzuki has not yet officially announced the final Indian specifications, battery capacity or range.
The scooter could attract buyers who are interested in a larger and more comfortable electric scooter rather than a compact urban commuter.
4. Ultraviolette Tesseract
The Ultraviolette Tesseract is positioned differently to conventional electric scooters. It is being developed as a performance-oriented electric scooter with motorcycle-like performance and advanced electronic features.
The Tesseract is expected to arrive in India in early 2027. The scooter is planned to have a high-voltage electrical architecture and a powerful electric motor, while multiple battery options are expected to be offered. Ultraviolette has also showcased features such as traction control, ABS and radar-based rider assistance.
With its performance-oriented positioning, the Tesseract could offer Indian buyers an alternate to conventional family-oriented electric scooters, and establish a separate premium performance category.
5. Yamaha Electric Scooter
Yamaha is also expected to branch into India’s electric scooter market with a new model. The company has been developing electric two-wheelers globally, and an India-focused electric scooter could eventually be positioned in the premium urban segment.
Current industry listings show a Yamaha electric scooter among the products expected during the first half of 2027, although the company has not yet officially revealed complete Indian specifications, pricing or the final production model.
If introduced in India, Yamaha’s entry could add another major Japanese manufacturer to the country’s growing electric scooter market.
6. TVS Next-Generation Electric Scooter
TVS Motor Company is continuing to expand its electric scooter portfolio beyond the iQube. The company has established a strong position in India’s electric two-wheeler market and is working on new products and platforms. A new-generation TVS electric scooter is expected to target different requirements from the existing iQube range. Details such as the final production name, battery capacity, range and launch timing remain unconfirmed, but the company is expected to continue to expand its EV portfolio as India’s electric two-wheeler market grows.
7. VinFast Electric Scooters
1.Vinfast Vero X
VinFast is gearing up to make a bigger mark in India’s electric two-wheeler market with locally produced scooters. The company has been working on its Tamil Nadu manufacturing operations and is expected to introduce multiple electric two-wheelers for Indian customers.
The Vero X is one of the electric scooters associated with VinFast’s India plans. The company is expected to focus on different segments rather than just one scooter, potentially allowing it to compete against established Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturers. The exact launch schedule, pricing and specifications for individual models should be treated as tentative until VinFast makes official announcements.
2.VinFast Viper
Another electric scooter linked to VinFast’s India plans is the Viper. The company filed an Indian design patent for the Viper in June 2026, providing further evidence of VinFast’s expanding two-wheeler portfolio for the country. The Viper has a sportier design than conventional family-oriented electric scooters. While its exact Indian specifications and launch timing have not been confirmed, it is part of the wider VinFast two-wheeler expansion that the company has planned for India. Current industry listings show the Viper much later than the first VinFast scooters, with December 2027 shown as a tentative date. Therefore, it should be treated as a future model rather than a confirmed first-half-2027 launch
8. More Electric Scooters From New EV Brands
The upcoming electric scooter market will not be limited to established manufacturers. Smaller EV companies are also expanding their portfolios as demand continues to increase. Greaves Electric Mobility, River, BGauss and Simple Energy have all recorded significant sales growth during 2026, highlighting the growing number of players competing in the electric two-wheeler space.
This growth is also encouraging manufacturers to develop scooters across different price ranges, from affordable urban commuters to higher-performance models. As battery costs, charging infrastructure and production capacity continue to develop, more new electric scooters could be introduced during 2027.
Electric Scooter Market in India Is Expanding
The arrival of these models comes at a time when India’s electric two-wheeler market is expanding rapidly. Electric two-wheelers recorded more than one million sales during 2026, with TVS, Bajaj, Ather and Vida among the major contributors. By July 2026, the top 10 manufacturers accounted for about 93 percent of electric two-wheeler sales recorded during the year to that point.
The upcoming products could therefore make the market more diverse, with manufacturers targeting different combinations of price, range, performance, comfort and technology. For buyers considering an electric scooter in the coming months, the remaining part of 2026 and the first half of 2027 could bring several new choices.
