Mercedes-Benz Unveils All-New Electric C-Class with 762 km Range, 800V Architecture and 470 bhp

Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled the all-new electric version of its bestselling C-Class sedan on April 20, 2026. Built on the dedicated MB.EA platform, this fully electric compact luxury sedan combines class-leading range, ultra-fast charging, strong performance, and a futuristic cabin design, setting new benchmarks in the premium EV segment.

The electric C-Class (also referred to as C-Class with EQ Technology) shares its underpinnings with the recently revealed electric GLC, but benefits from a sleeker sedan body for improved aerodynamics and efficiency.

  • Battery & Range: 94 kWh battery pack offering up to 762 km WLTP range (a rear-wheel-drive variant is expected to push closer to 800 km later)
  • Architecture: Advanced 800-volt electrical system for superior efficiency and charging speed

The new electric C-Class adopts a modern, aerodynamic design with a distinctive illuminated grille, sleek full-width LED lighting, and clean lines that blend traditional C-Class elegance with forward-looking EV styling. It features optional AIRMATIC air suspension with adaptive damping and rear-axle steering for enhanced agility and comfort.

Inside, the cabin is described as a luxury “sanctuary” with premium materials (including vegan options), a massive MBUX Hyperscreen dashboard spanning nearly 39 inches in some configurations, and the latest generation of Mercedes’ intelligent infotainment system with advanced driver assistance features.

Production of the electric C-Class is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026 at Mercedes-Benz’s plant in Kecskemét, Hungary. Customer deliveries are expected to start in late 2026 in Europe, with North American arrivals planned for early 2027.This launch represents a pivotal moment for Mercedes-Benz as it electrifies one of its core volume models while preserving the refined driving dynamics and luxury appeal that have made the C-Class a global success for decades.
