In a remarkable feat of endurance, planning and electric-vehicle capability, three Goan enthusiasts — Deepraj Raikar, Amey Naik and Chirantan Naik — have successfully completed an extraordinary 7,500-km road trip from Goa to Ladakh in a single Tata Nexon EV.The trio set out from Goa and charted a demanding route that took them through Nashik, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Srinagar and Kargil before they finally reached Ladakh. The highlight of the expedition was conquering Khardung La, one of the world’s highest motorable roads, where they posed proudly beside their dust-covered Nexon EV and the iconic yellow Border Roads Organisation signboard.
The journey tested both the vehicle and its drivers. Steep Himalayan terrain, unpredictable weather and the practical challenge of locating charging points in remote regions demanded careful route planning and disciplined battery management.
