Ola Electric Opens Sales and Service Network to Dealer Partners Across India

Ola Electric is opening its sales and service network to dealer partners across India, and the rollout starts now. The move marks a major structural shift in the company’s go-to-market strategy five years after it launched its first electric scooters and built the country’s largest company-owned automotive retail network.

Until now Ola Electric relied almost entirely on its own stores to drive awareness, establish the brand and create India’s biggest electric two-wheeler customer base of more than 10 lakh owners. As the EV category has matured and acceptance has grown, the company has decided that dealer partners with deep local knowledge are better placed to take electric mobility into every town and neighbourhood. Over the coming months the existing company stores will gradually transition to become centres focused on brand experience and product demonstration, while dealer partners will form the backbone of local sales, after-sales service and network expansion.

The decision follows a month of intensive on-ground engagement with dealers across the country. Feedback has been strongly positive, with partners recognising the combination of Ola’s product strength and their own local execution capabilities. For dealers the opportunity includes access to a powerful brand, a large and growing installed base that generates recurring service business, and a full product portfolio covering electric scooters, motorcycles and energy solutions such as Ola Shakti, with more energy products planned. The company has designed the partnership model to deliver attractive economics and strong returns for its network partners.

Ola Electric expects the new dealer-led programme to achieve meaningful on-ground scale in time for the Diwali 2026 festive season. Supporting the transition is industry veteran BVR Subbu, former President of Hyundai Motor India, who is rejoining the company as Senior Advisor to help drive execution. Applications for Ola Network Partner status are now open, signalling the start of a rapid expansion phase that aims to bring sales and service points much closer to customers across urban, semi-urban and smaller markets.

This evolution reflects the natural next stage for a brand that first had to prove the viability of electric two-wheelers through a fully controlled retail experience. With the category now more established, handing greater responsibility to local partners is expected to accelerate both sales growth and the overall adoption of electric vehicles in India while improving accessibility and convenience for the growing community of Ola owners.
