EMO Energy, a leading battery and energy systems provider for electric vehicles, has announced a strategic partnership with Revamp Moto to roll out 5,000 low-speed electric scooters tailored for last-mile delivery fleets. The collaboration begins with an initial order of 1,000 units to be delivered over the next two months.
This partnership leverages EMO Energy’s advanced battery technology and charging infrastructure with Revamp Moto’s expertise in manufacturing modular, purpose-built electric two-wheelers designed for commercial and micro-entrepreneurial use. The deployment aims to address key challenges in India’s booming quick commerce and logistics sector, including vehicle uptime, fast turnaround, and total cost of ownership.
EMO Energy specializes in liquid-cooled, high-density lithium-ion battery systems (such as its ZenPac platform) that support ultra-fast charging in approximately 20 minutes and deliver exceptional cycle life. The company’s infrastructure already powers over 300,000 deliveries monthly across 12 Indian cities, supporting major clients like Blinkit, Zepto, Zomato, and others. Its systems are compatible with multiple OEMs, including Revamp Moto.
Revamp Moto, founded in 2020 and based in Nashik, focuses on modular electric vehicles with swappable attachments suited for delivery, mobile shops, and gig economy applications. Models like the RM Buddie 25 emphasize affordability, low-speed operation (often exempt from certain licensing requirements), and adaptability for micro-entrepreneurs. The company has previously raised funding and gained visibility through initiatives supporting gig workers.
The new fleet scooters will benefit from EMO’s reliable energy solutions, enabling higher daily utilization rates. Fleet operators using similar EMO-powered vehicles have reportedly increased daily deliveries from around 78 to 92 per vehicle, generating significant revenue uplift.
India’s last-mile delivery sector is expanding rapidly due to the growth of quick commerce, e-commerce, and food delivery platforms. Low-speed electric scooters offer a cost-effective, zero-emission solution for dense urban and semi-urban operations, where frequent short trips and quick recharges are essential.
“Partnerships like this combine vehicle design optimized for commercial duty cycles with robust energy systems, which is critical for scaling sustainable mobility in India,” industry observers note, aligning with EMO’s broader goal of building a vertically integrated energy ecosystem for EVs.
The initial 1,000-unit deployment will serve as a pilot to validate performance in real-world fleet conditions before scaling to the full 5,000 units. Both companies are expected to expand the rollout across key Indian cities, supported by EMO’s growing network of fast chargers.
This collaboration adds to EMO Energy’s portfolio of partnerships with OEMs for battery integration and fleet solutions, while bolstering Revamp Moto’s presence in the B2B logistics segment.
The announcement underscores the accelerating shift toward electrified last-mile logistics in India, driven by the need for cleaner, more efficient, and economically viable delivery fleets. Further details on specifications, pricing for fleet operators, and deployment cities are anticipated in the coming weeks.
