JSW MG Motor India has crossed a major milestone in the country’s electric mobility journey by installing 1,000 EV chargers across more than 470 locations nationwide. The development underscores the automaker’s aggressive push to strengthen charging infrastructure as electric vehicle adoption accelerates in India. The chargers, installed under the MG Charge initiative, include a mix of AC and DC fast-charging points located at residential societies, commercial complexes, highways, and public areas. This extensive network aims to reduce range anxiety and provide convenient charging access for both MG EV owners and other electric vehicle users.

JSW MG Motor India also highlighted the real-world impact of its electric vehicles. The company’s EVs have cumulatively covered more than 290 crore kilometres on Indian roads. This extensive usage has helped avoid approximately 4.17 lakh metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions, demonstrating the tangible environmental benefits of EV adoption.

Alongside the charging milestone, the company announced plans to launch three new electric vehicles in 2026. The upcoming lineup is expected to include its first Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), further expanding its electrified portfolio in the Indian market.

JSW MG Motor India is focusing on a holistic approach to electric mobility. The company offers complimentary home chargers with its EV purchases and operates the e-Hub by MG app, which serves as a unified platform for charging across multiple networks. This latest achievement positions JSW MG as one of the most proactive OEMs in India’s EV space, combining vehicle sales, charging infrastructure, and sustainable mobility solutions. The company stated that it will continue to rapidly expand its charger network in the coming months to support the growing EV ecosystem in the country.
