Ultraviolette has launched an innovative new initiative called the ‘Kill The Petrol Bill’ programme to encourage petrol two-wheeler owners to switch to electric motorcycles. Under this scheme, customers upgrading to the Ultraviolette F77 or X-47 can receive cashback of up to Rs 30,000, directly linked to their previous riding history.
The cashback is calculated based on the kilometres covered on the customer’s old petrol motorcycle or scooter over the last two years. For example, a rider who has clocked 20,000 km will be eligible for Rs 20,000 cashback. The total benefit is capped at Rs 30,000 per customer, making it a tangible way for Ultraviolette to “pay back” past fuel expenses.
This programme is valid until June 30, 2026. To avail the offer, customers need to show their old vehicle’s odometer reading or riding proof at the time of purchase. The scheme applies to both the performance-oriented F77 (including the Superstreet variants) and the newly launched X-47 electric motorcycle.
Apart from the upfront cashback, Ultraviolette highlights significant long-term savings for new owners. Riders switching to its electric motorcycles can potentially save between Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000 per month on fuel costs alone, depending on their daily usage and prevailing petrol prices. This makes the total cost of ownership far more attractive compared to traditional petrol bikes.
The ‘Kill The Petrol Bill’ programme reflects Ultraviolette’s aggressive push to accelerate EV adoption in India’s performance motorcycle segment. With high-performance machines boasting impressive range (up to 323 km IDC on the F77 Recon), rapid acceleration, and premium features, the company aims to make the transition from petrol to electric both financially rewarding and exciting.
