Skoda Auto has released the first official exterior design sketches of its upcoming all-electric flagship SUV, the Peaq. This marks an exciting step forward for the Czech automaker’s expanding electric vehicle lineup. The Peaq, a spacious seven-seater, is scheduled to make its world debut on June 23, 2026, in Monnetier-Mornex, France.

The Peaq will become Skoda’s largest and most premium model to date, positioned above the Enyaq as the brand’s new electric flagship. Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform and produced in Mladá Boleslav, it targets families and adventure seekers who need serious space, practicality, and electric efficiency without compromising on style.

At nearly 4.9 meters (about 192 inches) long with a wheelbase of 2,965 mm, the Peaq offers commanding proportions. It provides seating for up to seven adults and impressive cargo capacity — up to 890 liters with the third row folded. A 37-liter frunk adds extra versatility.

The newly released sketches highlight Skoda’s evolved Modern Solid design language, first previewed in the Vision 7S concept. Key exterior highlights include:

  • Front End: Slim T-shaped LED headlights connected by a light element, forming a distinctive frame-like loop motif around the illuminated glossy black Tech-Deck Face with fine vertical slats. A bold “Volcano-shaped” bumper emphasizes width and presence.
  • Side Profile: High shoulder line, wide D-pillars, sculpted surfaces for a muscular yet clean look, and flush door handles for better aerodynamics.
  • Rear: Matching T-shaped taillights with the connecting loop motif, creating a cohesive and instantly recognizable light signature.

Head of Exterior Design Karl Neuhold described the approach: “We consistently applied the Modern Solid design language, combining clean lines, balanced proportions and distinctive elements… Features such as the T-shaped headlights and Tech-Deck Face express Škoda’s identity in a new electric era.”

The design balances timeless elegance with a confident, modern SUV stance, available with wheels ranging from 19 to 21 inches and multiple paint options.

While full specifications will be revealed at the premiere, earlier details point to three powertrain variants (60, 90, and 90x):

  • Entry-level Peaq 60 (RWD, ~150-201 hp, smaller ~63 kWh battery) → over 460 km WLTP range.
  • Higher Peaq 90 (RWD, ~210-282 hp, ~91 kWh battery) and 90x (AWD, ~220 kW/299 hp) → over 600 km WLTP range

Expect fast DC charging (10-80% in around 28 minutes), bidirectional charging/Vehicle-to-Load capability, and a focus on efficiency for long-distance family travel.

Inside, the Peaq promises a premium, tech-rich cabin with a large 13.6-inch vertical infotainment screen, digital cockpit, optional AR head-up display, ambient lighting, and innovative touches like windshield washer nozzles integrated into the wiper arms. A new “Relax Package” with massage seats and leg rests, plus a large panoramic roof with Dynamic Shade Control, aims to turn the interior into a “lounge on wheels.” Premium audio by Sonos is also expected

The Peaq represents a major milestone in Skoda’s electrification strategy, following models like the Enyaq, Elroq, and Epiq. It combines the brand’s traditional values of value, practicality, and “Simply Clever” features with cutting-edge EV technology.

With its world premiere just weeks away, anticipation is high for this spacious, range-capable electric SUV. The Peaq looks set to challenge competitors like the Kia EV9 in the family EV space while offering Skoda’s signature blend of affordability and clever design.
