Tata Motors has expanded its popular electric SUV Coupé lineup with the launch of the Curvv.ev SeriesX range in India. Prices start at Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom), making the long-range 55 kWh battery version significantly more accessible than before. The new SeriesX introduces two fresh variants and brings premium features, strong range, and a standout lifetime battery warranty.

The Curvv.ev SeriesX is available in the following trims (ex-showroom prices):

  • Accomplished X 55 — Rs 16.99 lakh
  • Empowered X 55 — Rs 19.19 lakh
  • Empowered X 55 Dark — Rs 19.49 lakh

This launch effectively reduces the entry price for the larger 55 kWh battery pack by around Rs 2.25 lakh compared to previous offerings, broadening its appeal in the competitive mid-size electric SUV segment.

All SeriesX variants feature a 55 kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 167 hp (approximately 123 kW) and 215 Nm of torque. Key performance highlights include:

  • ARAI-certified range: Up to 502 km
  • Real-world range (Tata’s internal C75 testing): Around 400 km
  • 0-100 km/h acceleration in approximately 8.6–8.8 seconds
  • DC fast charging (10-80%): Around 40 minutes with a 70 kW charger

The Curvv.ev rides on Tata’s advanced acti.ev platform, promising a balanced mix of performance, efficiency, and refinement suitable for both city commuting and highway trips.

The SeriesX variants come well-equipped, blending practicality with premium touches:Accomplished X 55 highlights:

  • Dual 10.25-inch screens (digital cluster + infotainment)
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • 360-degree camera with blind-spot view monitor
  • Passively ventilated R-Comfort seats with Benecke Kaliko leatherette upholstery
  • Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
  • Rear sunshades

Empowered X 55 adds:

  • 12.3-inch touchscreen
  • 6-way power driver seat with ventilated front seats
  • 2-stage reclining rear seats
  • JBL 9-speaker audio system
  • 18-inch alloy wheels
  • Gesture-controlled powered tailgate
  • Level 2 ADAS with over 20 features
  • V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) and V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) capabilities

The Dark Edition offers a stylish blacked-out aesthetic. A new Nitro Crimson color option is also available across the range.

One of the biggest highlights is the Lifetime High-Voltage (HV) Battery Warranty for the first owner — defined as 15 years from the date of registration with unlimited kilometers (subject to terms and conditions). This applies to new buyers as well as existing Curvv.ev owners in many cases, significantly reducing long-term ownership concerns.

The Curvv.ev retains its striking SUV Coupé silhouette with flush door handles, LED lighting, and a spacious cabin. It offers a generous boot capacity of around 500 litres, making it practical for families and long trips. The model has already earned strong safety credentials, including a 5-star BNCAP rating in related tests.

Commenting on the launch, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., stated that the SeriesX variants make the long-range Curvv.ev more accessible while combining premium features and the lifetime battery warranty for truly stress-free ownership

With prices starting under Rs 17 lakh for a 500+ km range electric SUV Coupé loaded with features and backed by an industry-leading warranty, the Curvv.ev SeriesX strengthens Tata’s position against rivals like the Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, and other upcoming electric mid-size SUVs.
