JSW MG Motor India has implemented a fresh round of price revisions for its premium electric offerings in April 2026. Both the MG M9 electric luxury MPV and the MG Cyberster electric roadster have received price increases, though not to the same extent.
The MG M9, positioned as a high-end “Presidential Limousine” variant, sees the steeper hike of Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom). Its new sticker price now stands at Rs 75.9 lakh (ex-showroom). This substantial increase widens the gap with conventional luxury MPVs like the Kia Carnival in the Indian market.
In contrast, the sporty MG Cyberster receives a more moderate price bump of Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom), bringing its updated price to Rs 77.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The two-seater electric convertible continues to offer thrilling performance with 528 bhp and a claimed range of up to 580 km.
This revision comes shortly after MG’s broader April 2026 price adjustment announcement, which was initially expected to spare the premium MG Select models (including M9 and Cyberster). However, the company has now applied targeted increases to these flagship electric vehicles, likely to offset rising input costs while maintaining their exclusive positioning through the MG Select premium retail network.
Quick Specs Recap
MG M9 (Presidential Limousine):
- Single fully-loaded variant
- 90 kWh battery
- Claimed range: up to 548 km
- Luxury lounge-like interiors with premium features
- Positioned as a high-end electric people-mover
MG Cyberster:
- Electric roadster with convertible top
- 528 bhp power output
- Claimed range: up to 580 km
- Sporty design and dynamic driving experience
These hikes make both models noticeably more expensive, potentially affecting demand among luxury EV buyers in India. The MG M9 now sits further above mass-market MPV rivals, while the Cyberster strengthens its premium sports EV credentials.
Prospective buyers are advised to check with MG Select dealerships for the latest on-road prices, as state taxes, insurance, and any ongoing offers could influence the final cost. With the premium EV segment heating up, these adjustments reflect MG’s strategy to balance costs and perceived value in a competitive market.
