Mahindra has recently announced an upgrade to their BE 6 SPORTEQ TWO, and with it, they continue to build upon the already impressive electric SUV. The new iteration offers more connected experiences, personalization and convenience, without sacrificing the sporty spirit of the SPORTEQ. The improvements are centered around the broad set of digital and comfort upgrades, which give the upgraded SPORTEQ TWO a much more modern feel, while also introducing more options for the driver and the passengers. The first and the most noticeable of the improvements is the coast-to-coast triple HD screens, which create a real panoramic experience in the vehicle and enable the users to enjoy a greater variety of functions offered by the car’s infotainment system. The panoramic display is just part of the upgrade, as the SPORTEQ TWO now offers a significantly greater list of TEQ technologies.
TEQ_Drive provides Drift mode for greater dynamic control, multiple drive modes including a fully customizable Custom Mode and a Revive Mode that can be combined with the Tribe Drive, and over-the-air updates that let the owner know when the scheduled maintenance is due. TEQ_Me suite lets the owners personalize their driving experience, as the car can detect each user and offer the settings that they have chosen or that the car has learned for them. The owners can utilize the optional charge scheduler and cabin pre-cooling features to ensure that the car is always ready when they need it to be. With TEQ_Secure, the owners have the option to utilize the NFC and digital car key technologies and a third screen parental lock, and TEQ_Play keeps the users engaged with the game-like feature that rewards them for their experience.
Finally, the rest of the improvements touch on various other convenience and comfort upgrades, which highlight the upgrades to the SPORTEQ TWO’s overall appeal. The new Racing Tan and Black interior is complemented with several leatherette surfaces, including the seat cushions and bolsters, the instrument panel, the door handles, the steering wheel, and the e-shifter. The R19 stylized wheels with aero covers add to the visual appeal, while the 540-degree camera system with a blind-view monitor ensures greater safety and convenience around obstacles. The 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system utilizes the Dolby Atmos technology, creating a powerful and engulfing soundscape for the occupants of the car, and the dual-zone automatic climate control ensures that both the driver and the front-seat passenger can pick their desired temperature. Lastly, the front-level wireless phone charging station ensures that the phones are always charged and ready to use.
Together, these improvements combine to create a much greater overall experience and offer a steeper upgrade path for those that own the SPORTEQ TWO or are looking to purchase an electric performance-oriented SUV from Mahindra. As is always the case with the release of an updated model, the above list of upgrades should be used as a guideline and not a final specification, as the brochure for the 2023 model is yet to be released.
