Design drawings of the upcoming Zero Lompico, an electric motorcycle from California-based Zero Motorcycles, have surfaced online. The leaks provide the clearest look yet at the production-intent model ahead of its official reveal.
The Zero Lompico and Hero Vida VxZ appear to be mechanically identical twins. They could potentially be built at the same factory in India as part of the collaboration between Hero MotoCorp and Zero Motorcycles.
Patent filings and design documents indicate that the Zero Lompico shares its core mechanical package with the Hero Vida VxZ concept. The Indian brand first unveiled the VxZ at EICMA 2025 before patenting it in India.
Both models share the same steel trellis frame, electric motor, battery pack, suspension setup, wheels, brakes, cycle parts, and even the TFT console. While their external styling differs significantly — the Lompico adopts a more radical, futuristic aesthetic compared to the VxZ’s streetfighter-inspired design — they are essentially the same underneath.
The shared platform is likely to feature a potent 30kW (approximately 40 hp) electric motor paired with a new 8.8 kWh battery pack. This setup promises strong performance suitable for both urban commuting and spirited riding.
The partnership leverages Hero’s massive manufacturing capabilities in India alongside Zero’s expertise in electric motorcycle technology. This collaboration could allow both brands to offer competitive electric motorcycles at scale, with the Lompico serving as Zero’s accessible performance model and the VxZ strengthening Hero’s premium Vida lineup.
Industry observers expect the production versions of these bikes to arrive in the coming months, potentially marking a significant step in making high-performance electric motorcycles more accessible globally.
