Ultraviolette Tesseract: India’s First Electric Scooter with Advanced ADAS Technology

The Ultraviolette Tesseract made a groundbreaking debut in March 2025 as the Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette Automotive’s first mass-market electric scooter. Unveiled at the company’s Fast Forward India event, this futuristic maxi-scooter instantly captured attention for being the first in India to feature integrated radar-based Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), dashcams, and a host of cutting-edge safety and connectivity features.

Bookings opened immediately on the official website with a modest token amount of Rs 999, and the response was overwhelming. The scooter quickly surpassed 60,000 bookings within months, reflecting strong enthusiasm for its blend of performance, technology, and practicality.

Drawing inspiration from combat helicopters, the Tesseract boasts sharp, aggressive styling with twin projector LED headlamps, floating LED DRLs, and a commanding road presence. It rolls on 14-inch wheels for agile handling and offers a generous 34-litre underseat storage compartment—large enough for a full-face helmet, groceries, or even a drone bag.

The scooter is available in four vibrant color options: Sunburst Sand, Stealth Black, Sonic Pink, and Solar White, allowing riders to choose a shade that matches their personality.

One of the standout shades is the vibrant Sonic Pink, which adds a bold, energetic flair to its futuristic lines:

Performance and RangeThe Tesseract comes in three battery variants:

  • 3.5 kWh — Up to 162 km IDC range
  • 5 kWh — Up to 220 km IDC range
  • 6 kWh — Up to 261 km IDC range (the longest in its class)

Powered by a potent electric motor delivering up to 20.1 bhp, it achieves a thrilling 0-60 kmph in just 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 125 kmph. Fast charging takes the battery from 20-80% in under 30 minutes on compatible setups, while features like swappable batteries and multiple regen levels enhance everyday usability.

Pioneering ADAS and Safety Features

What truly sets the Tesseract apart is its segment-first radar-based ADAS system, including:

  • Front and rear radars for obstacle detection and rear vehicle tracking
  • Blind spot detection, lane change assist, overtake alerts, and collision warnings
  • Integrated front and rear dashcams
  • Haptic feedback on the handlebars for intuitive alerts
  • Omnisense mirrors with real-time warnings

Additional tech includes a 7-inch TFT touchscreen with navigation, Violette AI connectivity, ride analytics, towing alerts, dual-channel ABS, traction control, and wireless phone charging.Pricing and Delivery UpdateThe Tesseract was introduced with attractive introductory pricing:

  • Rs 1.30 lakh for the next 50,000 customers
  • Standard pricing starting at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom), with higher variants expected up to around Rs 2 lakh

While final variant selection and detailed configurations were initially planned for Q4 2025, these are still pending activation as we enter 2026.As of December 31, 2025, deliveries are now slated to begin in Q2 2026 (previously indicated as Q1 in some early reports). This slight shift allows Ultraviolette to refine production and ensure the scooter meets the high expectations set by its ambitious features.

The Ultraviolette Tesseract represents a bold leap for India’s electric two-wheeler segment, combining supercar-like tech with scooter practicality. With massive pre-booking numbers and a promise to deliver one of the most advanced, safest, and exciting rides on two wheels, it is poised to challenge established players like Ola, Ather, and TVS when customer deliveries finally commence in mid-2026. For now, the wait continues—but the excitement is electric!
