TVS Motor Company has achieved a major landmark in India’s electric two-wheeler industry by crossing 1 million cumulative retail sales of its electric scooters. The company is now only the second EV manufacturer after Ola Electric to reach this impressive 10-lakh mark. According to Vahan portal data updated on June 11, 2026, TVS has sold a total of 10,04,148 units of its iQube and Orbiter electric scooters combined since launching in the EV segment in January 2020.
What makes this milestone even more significant is the pace of recent sales. TVS sold the last 100,000 units in just 75 days — between March 28 and June 10, 2026. This translates to an average of 1,333 units per day, highlighting strong accelerating demand for its electric scooters. This surge demonstrates TVS’s growing momentum in the highly competitive electric two-wheeler market, where it has steadily built a reputation for reliability, range, and strong after-sales support.
Since its entry into the electric scooter space over six years ago, TVS has focused on developing practical and feature-rich products. The iQube, its flagship electric scooter, has been the main contributor to sales, while the more recent Orbiter model has helped expand the portfolio to cater to different customer segments. The company has continuously improved its offerings with better battery technology, longer range, faster charging, and smart connected features, helping it gain trust among Indian buyers who are shifting from petrol scooters to electric ones.
Reaching 1 million sales is a strong validation of TVS’s EV strategy. While Ola Electric remains the leader, TVS has emerged as a serious and fast-growing challenger with a more balanced approach focused on quality and sustainable growth.
This achievement comes at a time when the Indian electric two-wheeler industry is witnessing healthy recovery and rising consumer acceptance, driven by improving infrastructure, falling battery prices, and government support.
With this milestone, TVS has strengthened its position as one of the top players in the segment and is expected to further ramp up volumes with upcoming new models and expanded manufacturing capacity in the coming months.
The rapid sale of the last lakh units signals that TVS is well-poised to capture a larger share of the booming electric mobility market in India.
