TVS Motor Company has revised the prices of its scooters in the Indian market, with increases of up to ₹9,000 (and higher in some reports for certain variants or cumulative revisions). The hikes affect both petrol and electric models, including the popular iQube electric scooter lineup and the newer Orbiter electric scooters, as well as conventional models like the Jupiter and Ntorq.
The price revisions, which took effect around early August 2026 (from August 1 in several reports), are attributed to rising input costs and supply-chain constraints. Electric scooters have seen some of the more noticeable jumps.
Electric Scooters (iQube and Orbiter)
The TVS iQube range has become more expensive across most variants. One of the larger single-variant increases highlighted is on the 3.5 kWh model, which rose by ₹9,000 to around ₹1.42 lakh (from approximately ₹1.33 lakh). Other iQube updates include:
- Base 2.2 kWh variant: up by about ₹5,000 to roughly ₹1.16 lakh in some reports.
- iQube S (4.7 kWh): increases of ₹3,000–₹6,000, taking it to around ₹1.61–1.62 lakh.
- Top-spec iQube ST (5.3 kWh): rises of ₹3,000–₹10,400, with new prices near ₹1.72–1.75 lakh depending on the reporting of cumulative changes.
The TVS Orbiter electric scooters recorded some of the steepest overall adjustments in the scooter portfolio. The Orbiter V1 rose by up to ₹7,000–₹11,000 (new prices around ₹95,250–₹99,250), while the Orbiter V2 saw increases of ₹9,000–₹13,580 in different accounts (new prices near ₹1.14–1.18 lakh). These figures sometimes reflect a series of smaller revisions rather than a single hike.
The iQube continues to compete in the mid-to-premium electric scooter segment against models from Ola, Ather, and Bajaj Chetak. The more affordable Orbiter targets entry-level EV buyers. With electric two-wheeler demand remaining strong in India, the price adjustments may influence purchase timing, especially for cost-sensitive customers. Buyers are advised to check the latest ex-showroom prices at local dealerships, as figures can vary slightly by city, variant, and any ongoing offers or subsidies.
TVS has not announced any mechanical or feature changes accompanying the price revisions. The company remains one of the leading players in both the conventional scooter and electric two-wheeler markets in India.
