Tesla Expands EV Ecosystem in India with New Supercharger Station in Gurugram

Tesla has taken another significant step toward building a comprehensive electric vehicle ecosystem in India by inaugurating its latest charging station at DLF Horizon Center in Gurugram. This facility, located in the surface parking area on Golf Course Road, follows the recent opening of the Tesla Center in the city and reinforces the company’s commitment to seamless and sustainable mobility.

The new charging site is equipped with four V4 Superchargers, capable of delivering peak speeds of up to 250 kW, and three Destination Chargers offering 11 kW for slower, extended charging sessions. This combination caters to diverse needs, from quick top-ups for long-distance travel to convenient charging during longer stays.

According to Tesla, a Model Y can gain up to 275 km of range in just 15 minutes on a Supercharger – enough for a trip from Gurugram to Jaipur’s iconic Hawa Mahal. The network emphasizes a hassle-free “Plug In, Charge and Go” experience, backed by an impressive 99.95% uptime reliability.

With this addition, Tesla now operates three charging locations across India (Gurugram, Delhi, and Mumbai), totaling 12 Superchargers and 10 Destination Chargers. The Gurugram site marks a key expansion in the Delhi-NCR region, supporting the growing fleet of Model Y owners.

To celebrate the launch and educate the public, Tesla is hosting interactive workshops at the Horizon Center station from December 17 to December 21, 2025. These sessions will demonstrate the functionality of Superchargers and Destination Chargers, while promoting electric mobility and sustainable energy solutions.

As Tesla continues to roll out its Model Y – currently the only vehicle available in India, starting at ₹59.89 lakh – investments in charging infrastructure like this are crucial for accelerating EV adoption and alleviating range anxiety for customers. This move underscores Tesla’s vision of creating an end-to-end ecosystem tailored to Indian lifestyles and driving needs.
