Tata Motors is gearing up for a big launch this week. The much-awaited Tata Tiago EV Facelift has been spotted completely undisguised during a TVC (Television Commercial) shoot in Mumbai, just days before its official debut.
The company is scheduled to launch the updated Tiago EV along with the petrol Tiago facelift on May 28, 2026.
The spy images and TVC shoot footage reveal several noticeable design updates on the electric hatchback:
- Revised front fascia with a fresh bumper design
- New LED headlamp setup with updated signature lighting
- Redesigned grille and lower air intake
- Fresh alloy wheel designs
- Updated rear bumper with new reflector layout
- New colour options expected
The overall silhouette remains familiar, but the changes give the Tiago EV a cleaner, more modern, and premium look that should help it stay competitive in the entry-level electric car segment.
Apart from the exterior refresh, the facelifted Tiago EV is likely to come with:
- Improved interior with better materials and new upholstery
- Larger touchscreen infotainment system
- Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
- Updated dashboard layout
- Enhanced feature list (possible addition of ventilated seats, 360° camera, or wireless charger in higher variants)
- Improved battery thermal management and software updates for better efficiency and range
Tata is expected to offer the facelifted model with its current battery pack options (19.2 kWh and 24 kWh), but with possible improvements in claimed range and real-world performance.
Launch Details
- Launch Date: 28th May 2026
- Both Tiago EV Facelift and Petrol Tiago Facelift will be launched together
- Expected to be priced very competitively to strengthen Tata’s position in the affordable EV segment
The Tiago EV has been one of the most successful entry-level electric cars in India since its launch. This timely facelift will help Tata counter rising competition from models like the Citroën eC3, MG Comet EV, and the upcoming new small EVs from other manufacturers.
