Skoda has officially revealed the pricing and specifications for its new flagship electric SUV, named the Peaq. Positioned as the largest and most premium electric vehicle in Skoda’s lineup, the Peaq is a spacious seven-seater SUV designed to take on competitors in the premium family EV segment.
Built on the Volkswagen Group’s proven MEB platform (the same architecture used in vehicles like the Volkswagen ID. Buzz, Skoda Enyaq, and Cupra Tavascan), the Peaq promises strong performance, modern technology, and excellent practicality. As a dedicated electric vehicle, it features a flat floor, optimised interior space, and advanced battery technology.
The new Skoda Peaq will go on sale in the UK from September 2026. Pricing starts at £51,980, which is approximately Rs 60 lakh at current exchange rates. This positions the Peaq as a relatively competitive offering in the premium seven-seat electric SUV segment in the UK market.
With its bold design, generous proportions, and three-row seating, the Peaq is expected to appeal to large families and buyers looking for a versatile, comfortable, and environmentally friendly flagship SUV. Skoda aims to combine its traditional strengths — value for money, practicality, and clever design solutions — with cutting-edge electric vehicle technology.
More details regarding battery options, power outputs, range figures, and higher variants are expected to be released closer to the launch date. The Peaq will likely be offered in multiple trims, with rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations, along with different battery sizes to suit varying customer needs.
This launch marks an important step in Skoda’s electrification journey as the Czech brand continues to expand its electric portfolio aggressively across Europe. For Indian buyers and enthusiasts, the Peaq also gives an indication of the kind of large, premium electric SUVs Skoda may consider introducing in India in the future through its partnership with Volkswagen Group.
The Skoda Peaq is shaping up to be a strong contender in the growing electric three-row SUV space. Its competitive starting price, spacious cabin, and proven MEB platform make it one to watch when it arrives in showrooms later this year.
