Skoda Auto is set to unveil the all-new Skoda Epiq on May 19, 2026, in Zurich. This marks the global debut of the brand’s smallest electric SUV, positioned below the Elroq in the lineup. The Epiq is expected to play a key role in Skoda’s expanding electric vehicle portfolio by making affordable, practical EVs more accessible
The Skoda Epiq rides on the Volkswagen Group’s new MEB+ platform, shared with models like the Volkswagen ID. Polo and Cupra Raval. This platform is optimized for compact electric vehicles, emphasizing efficiency, clever packaging, and modern technology. It features a front-wheel-drive layout and uses a twist-beam rear suspension to maximize interior and boot space while keeping weight low.
The Epiq measures approximately 4.17 meters in length with a wheelbase of around 2.60 meters, making it ideal for city driving while remaining practical for weekend getaways. It offers a class-competitive boot space of 475 litres (expanding to 1,344 litres with rear seats folded).
Powertrain Options and RangeSkoda will offer the Epiq in three variants:
- Epiq 35 — 85 kW (approx. 114 hp), 38.5 kWh LFP battery
- Epiq 40 — 99 kW, 38.5 kWh LFP battery
- Epiq 55 (top variant) — 155 kW (approx. 210 hp), 55 kWh NMC battery
The range-topping version promises up to 425–430 km (around 267 miles) on the WLTP cycle. Charging capabilities include up to 11 kW AC and DC fast charging up to 133 kW on the most powerful model (10–80% in as little as 23 minutes).
Performance figures include a 0–100 km/h time as quick as around 7.4 seconds for the strongest variant, with top speeds up to 160 km/h
Skoda has teased the interior, which fully embraces the Modern Solid design language. It features a clean, horizontal dashboard layout, minimalist aesthetics, ambient lighting, and a focus on practicality. Key elements include:
- A large 13-inch central touchscreen
- A compact 5.3-inch digital instrument cluster
- Physical controls and haptic scroll wheels for intuitive operation
- Simply Clever features (Skoda’s signature practical solutions)
The cabin prioritizes spaciousness and everyday usability, with wireless charging and thoughtful storage.
The Epiq adopts bold exterior elements like the Tech-Deck Face, T-shaped LED lighting, and efficient aerodynamics. It is expected to be priced accessibly — potentially close to the combustion-engined Kamiq — making it an attractive entry point into Skoda’s EV range.
As the smallest member of Skoda’s electric family, it slots neatly below the Elroq while offering impressive boot space thanks to its front-drive layout. It targets buyers seeking a stylish, efficient, and affordable compact SUV for urban and suburban use.
The full world premiere on May 19, 2026, will reveal complete specifications, pricing (market-dependent), and more details on variants and features. Production is expected to ramp up later in 2026, with deliveries likely starting toward the end of the year or into 2027.The Skoda Epiq represents an important step for the brand: delivering “big possibilities in a small package” with Skoda’s renowned value, practicality, and now electric efficiency. Stay tuned for the official unveiling!
