River Mobility has entered the Nepalese market with Vishal Group, establishing its presence in the international space. The company has inaugurated its first international retail and service outpost in Kathmandu, Nepal, set to retail its flagship electric scooter, the River Indie. With this initiative, the company makes its first step towards entering the international market.

The electric scooter, River Indie, has been priced at NPR 3.7 lakh (ex-showroom, Kathmandu). It has a unique design, comes with handy features and is intended for daily use, providing a possible alternative to petrol scooters. By entering the Nepalese market, River Mobility aims to introduce its flagship electric scooter to the customers looking for a convenient and utilitarian electric vehicle.

It is expected that the collaboration between River Mobility and Vishal Group will support the former’s entry strategy in the Nepalese market. As the company has set up its retail and service center in Kathmandu, it will provide after-sales services to the customers. In case of electric two-wheelers, setting up an extensive service network becomes essential for companies as customers often require maintenance and repair work.

River Mobility has been focusing on scaling its retail business in India and has already set up more than 90 retail outlets across the country. In the future, apart from establishing its retail presence in Nepal, the company will aim to scale its business further and enter more countries.

The River Indie is the company’s flagship electric scooter, which comes with a unique design and ample storage space. Also, as compared to many other electric scooters in the market, it focuses on utilitarian aspects. Thus, the said attributes make the scooter an attractive proposition for the Nepalese customers. However, it will be interesting to see how the company fares in the electric scooter market, which will largely depend on aspects such as pricing, availability of charging stations, and after-sales services.

River Mobility has taken its first step towards establishing itself in the international electric scooter market. The company has set up its first retail and service center in Kathmandu, Nepal. Further, it has launched its flagship electric scooter, River Indie, in the country at NPR 3.7 lakh (ex-showroom, Kathmandu).
