Electric motorcycle startup Raptee.HV has achieved a major milestone after its flagship T30 model successfully completed a 7,530-kilometre All-India ride in just 19 days. The company announced on Thursday that the feat has been officially recognised by both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records.
The achievement marks the first time an electric motorcycle in India has completed an All-India journey of this scale, highlighting the growing maturity and real-world capability of electric two-wheelers.
Record-Breaking Journey Across India
The historic ride was accomplished by Baala Manikandan, an electric vehicle riding enthusiast who already holds two previous records in the electric motorcycle category.
Covering 7,530 km in 19 days, Manikandan maintained an average distance of around 407 kilometres per day. This figure is nearly 100 kilometres more per day than his earlier electric riding records, demonstrating a significant improvement in endurance and efficiency.
The journey took the rider through diverse terrains and weather conditions, testing both the motorcycle’s performance and charging infrastructure across the country.
Role of Fast-Charging Technology
Raptee.HV credited much of the success to the T30’s CCS2 DC fast-charging capability. Unlike most electric two-wheelers that rely on slower AC charging, the T30 supports high-speed DC charging, enabling quick top-ups during long-distance travel.
This technology helped reduce downtime and allowed the rider to maintain a tight schedule, making sustained long-distance touring on an electric motorcycle more practical.
According to the company, the fast-charging feature was a key factor in achieving higher daily riding averages compared to previous electric motorcycle expeditions.
Boost for Electric Motorcycling in India
The record-setting ride is being seen as an important step for India’s emerging electric motorcycle segment. While electric scooters have gained widespread acceptance, electric motorcycles are still in a relatively early phase of adoption.
By completing an All-India journey of this magnitude, Raptee.HV aims to demonstrate that electric motorcycles are capable of handling long-distance touring, reliability challenges, and infrastructure limitations.
The achievement also reflects growing confidence in India’s expanding EV charging network, particularly along major highways and urban corridors.
Company’s Vision and Future Plans
For Raptee.HV, the record serves as both a technological showcase and a branding milestone. The startup has been positioning the T30 as a performance-oriented electric motorcycle designed for enthusiasts as well as daily commuters.
The company believes that such real-world demonstrations will help address concerns around range anxiety, charging time, and long-term reliability — key barriers to wider adoption of electric motorcycles.
Looking Ahead
With official recognition now secured, Raptee.HV plans to leverage the achievement to strengthen its presence in the premium electric two-wheeler space. The successful All-India ride has reinforced the viability of long-distance electric motorcycling and could encourage more riders to consider EVs for touring and adventure riding.
As charging infrastructure improves and battery technology advances, such record-setting journeys may soon become more common — helping accelerate India’s transition toward sustainable two-wheeler mobility.
