In a landmark achievement for India’s burgeoning premium electric two-wheeler segment, Chennai-based startup Raptee.HV has kicked off large-scale customer deliveries of its flagship model, the T30 electric motorcycle. This development marks the company’s official shift from an intensive seven-year research and development phase—backed by nearly 200 engineers focused on a single product—to full commercial operations.
Deliveries began in Chennai, the brand’s inaugural operational market, where customer support infrastructure, including service facilities, is already active. The first batch of T30 units has reached early customers, signaling Raptee.HV’s readiness to scale production and meet growing demand for high-performance electric motorcycles.
Priced at ₹2.39 lakh (ex-showroom), the Raptee T30 positions itself as a compelling high-performance alternative to conventional petrol-powered motorcycles in the 300cc-equivalent class. What sets it apart is its adoption of HV-Tec (high-voltage technology) architecture—typically reserved for electric cars—now brought to the two-wheeler space for the first time in India. This 240V platform enables superior sustained performance, efficient thermal management, and seamless integration with existing charging infrastructure.
Key highlights of the T30 include:
- A 22 kW (approximately 29.5 bhp) electric motor delivering 70 Nm of peak torque
- Impressive acceleration: 0-60 km/h in under 3.5 seconds
- Top speed of 135 km/h
- A 5.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack offering an IDC-estimated range of 200 km (real-world figures around 150 km in Comfort mode, depending on riding conditions)
- Fast-charging capability: 20-80% in approximately 30 minutes via CCS2 DC fast chargers (compatible with India’s vast public electric car charging network, exceeding 13,500 stations)
- Home charging: 20-80% in about 1 hour with a 3.3 kW charger
The T30 also boasts premium ownership features, such as an 8-year or 80,000 km battery warranty (industry-leading in the segment), a 3-year or 30,000 km vehicle warranty, one year of free services, roadside assistance, and a dedicated service single point of contact. Additional highlights include a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display, dual-channel ABS, belt drive, IP67-rated battery protection, and multiple ride modes for versatile performance.
Raptee.HV emphasizes that the T30’s CCS2 compatibility eliminates traditional range anxiety by tapping into the same widespread fast-charging ecosystem used by electric cars— a major advantage over most other electric two-wheelers limited to slower AC charging.
Looking ahead, the company has outlined an ambitious expansion roadmap. Following its successful Chennai rollout, Raptee.
HV will launch in Bengaluru in April 2026, complete with a dedicated showroom and authorized service center. This move targets one of India’s most EV-savvy markets. By the end of 2026, the brand aims to extend its presence to other major South Indian state capitals (such as Hyderabad and Kochi), followed by entry into Western India (including cities like Pune). Further growth into additional metros and tier-2 cities is planned for FY28.As India accelerates its transition to sustainable mobility, the Raptee T30 represents a bold step forward—combining car-grade engineering, rapid charging convenience, and exhilarating performance in an accessible premium package. With deliveries now underway and expansion on the horizon, Raptee.
HV is poised to redefine expectations in the electric motorcycle landscape.
