Porsche Unveils the All-New Cayenne Coupé Electric at 2026 Beijing Auto Show – India Launch Expected Soon

Porsche has officially unveiled the Cayenne Coupé Electric at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, marking the world premiere of its sleek, performance-oriented electric variant of the flagship SUV.Built on the same VW Group’s 800-volt Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture as the standard Cayenne Electric, the new Coupé version brings a more emotive, sportier design while retaining the impressive performance and technology of its SUV sibling.

The Cayenne Electric (standard body style) is already on sale in India, priced from ₹1.76 crore to ₹2.26 crore (ex-showroom) for the base and Turbo variants. Porsche has confirmed that the Cayenne Coupé Electric will also reach Indian shores, with launches expected in the second half of 2026.

Depending on the market, the Cayenne Coupé Electric will be offered in three main variants:

  • Cayenne Coupé Electric (base)
  • Cayenne S Coupé Electric
  • Cayenne Turbo Coupé Electric

All variants feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive layout and share the advanced 800-volt electrical architecture, which enables ultra-fast DC charging (up to 390 kW) and excellent efficiency.

The Coupé body style offers improved aerodynamics (with a lower drag coefficient of around 0.23 compared to 0.25 for the standard SUV), resulting in a slight increase in range — up to 669 km (WLTP) on select models, roughly 18 km more than the non-Coupé version.

Key Highlights

  • Shared PPE Platform: Ensures consistent performance, handling dynamics, and charging capabilities across the electric Cayenne family.
  • Sportier Profile: The fastback roofline gives the Coupé a more dynamic and emotional appearance while maintaining practicality.
  • Performance Focus: From strong everyday usability in the base model to supercar-rivaling acceleration in the Turbo variant (0-100 km/h in as little as 2.5 seconds with overboost).
  • India Relevance: With the standard Cayenne Electric already available, the incoming Coupé version will appeal to buyers seeking a more stylish and driver-focused electric luxury SUV without compromising on Porsche’s signature driving DNA.

Porsche’s expansion of the electric Cayenne lineup with the Coupé variant strengthens its presence in the growing premium electric SUV segment in India. The model is expected to compete with other high-end electric SUVs while offering buyers a choice between the more practical standard body or the sleeker, sportier Coupé design.

Bookings and final pricing for the Cayenne Coupé Electric in India will be announced closer to launch. Enthusiasts can expect the same level of luxury, cutting-edge technology, and thrilling performance that defines the Porsche brand.
