Ola Electric has made a significant leap towards democratizing electric vehicles by opening a chain of dealer-run stores, thereby expanding its retail footprint beyond major metro cities to cater to a pan-India customer base. Today, the company opened new stores in Cuttack, Chhindwara, Jaipur, Warangal, Alirajpur, Neemuch and Latur as it looks to bring its popular line of electric scooters and motorcycles to more customers in these cities.
The new stores in Cuttack in Odisha, Chhindwara and Neemuch in Madhya Pradesh, Jaipur in Rajasthan, Warangal in Telangana, Alirajpur and Latur in Maharashtra are part of a bigger plan that Ola Electric has to scale up its retail network in the next few months. After creating brand awareness and a strong customer base through its own company-owned stores, Ola Electric is now partnering with dealers in these localities to give customers a wider choice of models on their preferred budget and offer services closer to their homes. It is also a big relief for buyers in these smaller towns and cities as they would not have to travel far to buy an electric two-wheeler or get it serviced. Ola Electric aims to scale up its dealer network to over 500 stores in the coming quarters.
Meanwhile, its company-owned stores would morph into Experience Centres that would enable customers to discover the Ola Electric brand, its products and their benefits. The company expects a seamless buying and servicing experience with its dealer partners helping at every step besides driving the local market growth in these towns and cities.
Ola Electric’s dealer chain in these cities will ensure that customers here have a choice of models that they can test drive in the comfort of their neighbourhood. With the opening of these new stores and their planned expansion over the next few months, Ola Electric aims to position itself as a preferred choice for electric two-wheelers for customers in these towns and cities.
