Montra Electric, the electric mobility arm of the Murugappa Group, announced on 24 April 2026 the addition of two new variants to its popular EVIATOR electric small commercial vehicle (eSCV) lineup. The new models — EVIATOR 350 (32kWh) and EVIATOR 350L+ (50kWh) — cater to diverse operational needs in urban last-mile delivery and intercity freight segments.
Both variants are now available across Montra Electric’s extensive dealership network. They carry introductory ex-showroom prices of ₹14.58 lakh for the EVIATOR 350 and ₹16.86 lakh for the EVIATOR 350L+
This launch represents a significant evolution in Montra Electric’s product strategy. Previously focused on a single configuration, the company is now offering buyers a clear choice of battery sizes tailored to specific usage patterns. This “right-sized” approach helps fleet operators and individual businesses optimize for range, payload efficiency, charging infrastructure, and total cost of ownership (TCO).
- The EVIATOR 350 (32kWh) is positioned as an agile, cost-effective option ideal for daily urban and intra-city operations with frequent stops and shorter routes.
- The EVIATOR 350L+ (50kWh) serves as a “marathon runner,” delivering a category-leading certified range of over 300 km, making it suitable for longer intercity hauls and higher daily utilization.
The EVIATOR platform is already known for its robust performance, with earlier variants offering up to 245 km certified range, 170+ km real-world range, 80 kW power, 300 Nm torque, and a strong payload capacity of around 1,707 kg (on select configurations). The new battery options build on this foundation, allowing customers to match battery capacity precisely to their route profiles and fleet requirements.
