MG Motor India’s premium sales and service arm, MG Select, has achieved a significant milestone by crossing 1,000 units of electric vehicle sales in the country. Launched as an exclusive channel for high-end, luxury-focused electric models, MG Select has quickly established itself as a strong contender in India’s nascent but fast-growing luxury EV segment.
In a short span, the sub-brand has become the second-largest luxury electric vehicle brand in India by sales volume, trailing only behind established German luxury marques that have been present in the EV space longer.
Currently, MG Select retails two flagship all-electric models:
- MG Cyberster – A stunning electric roadster that marks MG’s return to its sportscar heritage.
Offered in a single, fully-loaded GT variant priced at ₹75 lakh (ex-showroom), the Cyberster combines scissor doors, a 77 kWh battery pack, all-wheel drive, and a claimed 0-100 km/h time of just 3.2 seconds. Demand has been robust, with the model now carrying a waiting period of 4–5 months from the date of booking. - MG M9 – An all-electric luxury MPV positioned as a premium people-mover for chauffeured and family use. The M9 brings airline-style reclining seats, individual entertainment screens, and advanced driver-assistance systems to the segment.
To support its growing portfolio and customer base, MG Select has been aggressively expanding its footprint. The brand recently inaugurated its 15th exclusive experience centre in India. These bespoke showrooms are designed to offer a differentiated, high-touch ownership experience that aligns with the expectations of luxury EV buyers.
