JSW MG Motor India has released the first official teaser of its upcoming SUV, marking a significant milestone as the brand’s first product built on the new ADAPT platform in the country. The model is a pure electric vehicle with a seven-seater layout and is based on the Wuling Starlight 560 sold in international markets. It is widely expected to be named the Hector Hawk when it arrives.
The teaser highlights key design elements including LED headlamps and tail lamps, while keeping the overall form partially under wraps. It presents an upright, muscular stance with a long wheelbase suited to three-row seating. The ADAPT architecture, or Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology, has been developed as a modular foundation capable of supporting multiple electrified powertrains, and this SUV represents its first pure-electric application in India
.Pre-bookings for the new model are already open, allowing customers to reserve the vehicle ahead of its official debut. The launch is scheduled for late August 2026, with the company positioning the SUV as a future-ready addition to its growing new-energy vehicle lineup. Expected dimensions closely mirror those of the Wuling Starlight 560, measuring around 4,745 mm in length with a spacious cabin designed for seven occupants.
By introducing its first ADAPT-based electric seven-seater, MG aims to expand its presence in the competitive mid-size EV segment while offering a practical family-oriented alternative. Full specifications, pricing and the official name are expected to be revealed closer to the launch date.
