Maruti Suzuki has implemented a fresh price increase across its model range, with the all-electric e Vitara seeing the highest revision of up to ₹30,000. The revised prices came into effect on June 14, 2026.

The e Vitara’s price band now effectively ranges from ₹15.99 lakh to ₹19.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Note: The Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) variants have also been revised similarly, with hikes of up to ₹30,000 on select versions.

This is Maruti Suzuki’s first major price revision in 2026. The company cited rising input costs, including steel, aluminium, and other raw materials, along with inflationary pressures as the primary reasons. The hike varies across models — entry-level cars like WagonR and Eeco saw the smallest increase (up to ₹5,000), while premium models like the Invicto and e Vitara were impacted the most.

Impact on Buyers

  • Customers who booked the e Vitara before June 14 will likely get the older prices (subject to confirmation from dealers).
  • The increase makes Maruti’s first electric SUV slightly less competitive in the crowded mid-size electric SUV segment, where it rivals models like the Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv.ev, and Mahindra BE 6.

Despite the hike, the e Vitara continues to offer strong value with features like a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, up to 543 km claimed range (61 kWh battery), Level-2 ADAS, and a spacious, feature-rich cabin.

Buyers planning to purchase the e Vitara are advised to check the latest on-road prices with authorised Nexa dealers, as state taxes and incentives can further influence the final cost.
