Mahindra Unveils Airplane-Inspired UDO Electric Three-Wheeler With 200km Range

India’s leading electric commercial vehicle maker, Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited, has launched its latest electric three-wheeler, the UDO, aimed squarely at the country’s fast-growing last-mile mobility segment.

Priced at an introductory ₹3,58,999 (ex-showroom), the UDO is being offered at a discounted rate from its standard price of ₹3,84,299, making it one of the more competitive premium electric auto-rickshaws in the market.

Aviation-Inspired Design and Identity

Staying true to its name—derived from the Hindi word meaning “to fly”—the UDO features an airplane-inspired design language. Mahindra says the styling reflects speed, efficiency, and modernity, setting the vehicle apart in a segment traditionally focused more on function than form.

The three-wheeler adopts a monocoque construction, a departure from conventional body-on-frame designs, helping improve structural rigidity, safety, and ride comfort.

At the heart of the UDO is an IP67-rated 11.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, engineered to withstand dust and water ingress—an important feature for India’s varied operating conditions.
