Mahindra Launches XUV 3XO EV- Prices Start at Rs.13.89 lakh: A Bold Step into Affordable Electric Mobility

Mahindra & Mahindra has officially introduced the XUV 3XO EV, an exciting new addition to India’s growing electric SUV lineup. Priced from Rs 13.89 lakh (ex-showroom), this compact electric SUV arrives as a direct successor to the outgoing XUV400 EV, building on the massive success of its ICE counterpart, the XUV 3XO, which has already sold nearly 1.8 lakh units since its April 2024 launch.

The electric version made its surprise debut on January 6, 2026, just one day after the unveiling of the Mahindra XUV 7XO (the facelifted XUV700), highlighting Mahindra’s aggressive strategy to capture both the conventional and electric segments in India’s thriving SUV market.

Design and Exterior Highlights

The XUV 3XO EV retains the bold, upright stance of the ICE model while incorporating EV-exclusive elements, including rose gold grille inserts, LED fog lights, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a prominent EV badge on the tailgate. The front features sleek LED projector headlamps and DRLs, while the rear gets connected LED tail lamps.

Interior and Features

Inside, the cabin feels premium and tech-forward, with twin 10.25-inch HD screens (one for the instrument cluster and one for infotainment), dual-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof on higher variants.

Standout features include:

  • Level 2 ADAS (adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, auto emergency braking)
  • 360-degree camera with blind view monitor
  • Harman Kardon 7-speaker system with Dolby Atmos
  • Adrenox connected tech with over 80 features (Alexa integration, remote control)
  • Ventilated seats, cooled glovebox, and wireless charging

Safety is robust with six airbags, disc brakes on all wheels, TPMS, and ESP.

Powertrain and Performance

The XUV 3XO EV is powered by a 39.4 kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor delivering 147 bhp (110 kW) and 310 Nm of torque. It achieves 0-100 km/h in just 8.3 seconds — making it one of the quickest in its segment — and offers three drive modes: Fun, Fast, and Fearless.

Mahindra claims a practical real-world range of up to 285 km on a single charge, ideal for urban commutes. Fast charging (50 kW DC) takes the battery from 0-80% in about 50 minutes. An optional 7.2 kW AC charger is available for an additional Rs 50,000.The EV uses advanced suspension with Frequency Dependent Damping (FDD) for a comfortable and stable ride, plus a compact turning circle of 10.6 meters for city driving.
