Mahindra is accelerating the nationwide expansion of its Charge_iN ultra-fast electric vehicle charging network, with the addition of four new stations that take the total count to 44 locations across India. This latest update strengthens the company’s commitment to building a reliable high-speed charging backbone that supports longer journeys and greater confidence among EV owners.
Launched as part of Mahindra’s broader push into electric mobility, Charge_iN focuses exclusively on 180 kW ultra-fast chargers designed to deliver rapid top-ups. For Mahindra’s own electric SUVs such as the BE 6 and XEV 9e, the network enables a charge from 20 to 80 percent in approximately 20 minutes, making highway travel far more practical. The stations are strategically placed along major corridors and high-traffic routes, often co-located with restaurants, cafes and other wayside amenities so drivers can take a comfortable break while their vehicles recharge.
The network remains open to electric vehicles of all brands. Users can locate stations, initiate charging and complete payments through the dedicated Charge_iN by Mahindra app, while Mahindra customers also benefit from seamless access via the Me4U app. The same locations appear on leading third-party aggregator platforms, ensuring wider visibility and convenience for the growing community of EV drivers in India.
By steadily increasing the number of ultra-fast points, Mahindra aims to reduce waiting times and address one of the key concerns around long-distance electric travel. The company has previously outlined ambitious plans to scale the infrastructure significantly in the coming years, aligning with national efforts to strengthen public EV charging facilities and accelerate the shift toward cleaner transportation.
The addition of these four new stations marks another tangible step in that direction. With 44 Charge_iN locations now operational, more drivers across different regions of the country gain easier access to high-power charging, supporting both daily use and inter-city trips.
