Mahindra has expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the BE 06 SportEQ edition alongside a special Formula E Freedom edition, marking a significant step in the company’s push into the premium EV segment. The pricing details, revealed during a high-profile event, highlight a structured range of battery and variant options designed to appeal to different buyer preferences.
Deliveries are set to begin from August 26, 2026. Prices exclude the cost of the charger and installation.

SportEQ Edition
The biggest updates are inside. The Sporteq replaces the dual-screen setup of the standard BE 6 with a triple 12.3-inch (or dual Super HD in some descriptions) screen layout across a redesigned, cleaner horizontal dashboard. This improves access to wireless charging and USB ports while adding storage. A black-and-tan (or black/Firestorm Orange on FE) cabin theme with revised upholstery is also new.
It introduces Mahindra’s TEQ technology suites (powered by the MAIA architecture), including:
- TEQ_Me: Automatic driver recognition and personalized profile loading.
- TEQ_Talk: Google Gemini AI integration for vehicle controls, navigation, and more.
- TEQ_xting: Personalized messaging on the rear tailgate display.
- TEQ_Drive: Custom drive modes, Tribe Drive, Drift Mode, Acceleration Boost, and Revive SOS (provides enough energy for up to ~13 km after the battery hits zero, usable up to five times over the battery’s life).

The FE FOUR variant is priced at ₹26.95 lakh (79 kWh), while the Launch Edition is offered at a more accessible ₹24.45 lakh, making the motorsport-inspired package available to a wider audience at launch.
FE (Formula E-inspired) highlights: Black and Firestorm Orange interior with leatherette/suede, FE decals on the roof, dual Super HD screens, Harman Kardon audio, NightTail carpet lamps, R20 alloys, Intelligent Adaptive Suspension, advanced camera, dual-zone AC, and wireless charger (priced at ₹24.45 lakh with 79 kWh). The FE FOUR adds higher equipment like L2+ ADAS, AR HUD, powered/ventilated seats, and more at ₹26.95 lakh.
The regular FOUR and Launch Edition (both ₹26.95 lakh) emphasize the full TEQ suite, Drift Mode, Revive Mode, and scheduled OTA updates.
Powertrain and Performance
No mechanical changes from the standard BE 6. It uses a rear-mounted electric motor with:
- Up to ~286 hp (or 282–286 hp depending on battery) and 380 Nm of torque.
- Battery options of 59 kWh, 70 kWh, and 79 kWh (LFP chemistry, with BYD blade cell technology on larger packs).
- Claimed MIDC/ARAI range of up to ~682–683 km on the 79 kWh pack (lower on smaller batteries; real-world figures are typically lower, as seen in prior BE 6 tests around 449 km combined for the 79 kWh).
