Lexus India has expanded its flagship sedan lineup with the launch of the new ES 350h, a strong hybrid variant of the eighth-generation ES. Priced from Rs 66.10 lakh to Rs 71.80 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), the ES 350h is now open for bookings across Lexus dealerships. It joins the recently introduced all-electric ES 500e (priced at Rs 89.99 lakh), offering buyers a multi-pathway choice in the luxury sedan segment.
The ES 350h is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with an electric motor in a strong hybrid setup. The combined system output stands at 247 PS, mated to an e-CVT transmission driving the front wheels. This configuration promises smooth performance, excellent fuel efficiency, and refined highway cruising—hallmarks of Lexus hybrids.
The new model is slightly larger than its all-electric sibling in certain dimensions, benefiting from the hybrid powertrain’s packaging. It rides on the advanced TNGA-K platform, which contributes to improved rigidity, a longer wheelbase (2,950 mm), and better overall refinement. Lexus has also increased ground clearance for better suitability to Indian roads.
The eighth-generation ES adopts a sharper, more provocative design inspired by Lexus’ latest design language. Key highlights include:
- L-shaped DRLs and a distinctive front lighting setup.
- Sleek wraparound LED taillights with an illuminated Lexus emblem.
- Larger proportions: approximately 5,140–5,145 mm long, offering enhanced presence and rear legroom.
Inside, the cabin emphasizes luxury and minimalism with high-quality materials, a driver-focused layout, ambient lighting, and a “Tazuna” cockpit concept. Standout features include a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, powered and ventilated front seats with memory, a premium Mark Levinson audio system (in higher trims), head-up display, and advanced connected car technology
The ES 350h comes equipped with the latest Lexus Safety System+ 4, featuring advanced driver assistance technologies such as Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, and more. Additional safety includes multiple airbags, robust structural protection, and a Driver Monitor system in top variants.
Comfort enhancements for rear passengers, premium upholstery, three-zone climate control, and excellent noise insulation make it an ideal executive sedan.Variants and Pricing
- ES 350h Exquisite: Starts at Rs 66.10 lakh.
- ES 350h Luxury: Priced at Rs 71.80 lakh.
Both variants offer a comprehensive feature set, with the Luxury trim adding premium touches like the 17-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, HUD, and enhanced driver monitoring.
Lexus backs the ES 350h with an industry-leading 8-year / 2,00,000 km warranty (covering both vehicle and hybrid battery components), reflecting strong confidence in its reliability. Additional benefits include flexible financing options and an Assured Buy-Back program.
The new ES 350h targets buyers seeking a balance of luxury, efficiency, and low running costs in the executive sedan space. It competes with models like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, and Audi A6, while offering a compelling hybrid alternative to pure petrol or diesel options. The ES 500e provides a fully electric counterpart for those prioritizing zero-emission driving.
