Expanding BEV and HEV line-ups support Kia’s strong European sales momentum as Europe’s fastest-growing top 10 passenger-car brandKia is showcasing the breadth of its growing electrified range at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, demonstrating its progress in battery-electric and hybrid vehicles while capitalising on strong sales performance across Europe. The display features the European motor show debut of the new K4 Hybrid as well as the full five-model GT family – including the recently launched EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT – to underline Kia’s status as the fastest-growing top 10 passenger-car brand in Europe, where registrations have risen 9.0 per cent and market share stands at 4.1 per cent, based on ACEA data as of August 2026. Battery-electric vehicle registrations for the brand grew 58 per cent over the same period, securing it a 4.8 per cent share of the European EV market.

The K4 Hybrid marks a significant expansion in Kia’s hybrid offering within the C-segment, where it will be available in Hatchback and Sportswagon body styles. It combines the model’s bold design, spacious interior and advanced technology with a full hybrid powertrain, and production is set to begin on 15 October 2026. A 1.6-litre GDI engine, coupled with an electric motor and six-speed dual-clutch transmission, delivers a system output of 154 PS. It is a non-plug-in hybrid option offering customers increased choice and complementing the petrol and mild-hybrid variants that are already on sale.

The performance end of the spectrum sees Kia present its entire electric GT family for the first time in one place. Recently launched EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT join the established EV6 GT and EV9 GT to create a five-model line-up extending Kia’s GT philosophy of responsive, engaging driving across the compact SUV, hatchback, fastback and larger C-SUV segments. All three newcomers sit on the 400-volt variant of the Electric Global Modular Platform and feature dual-motor all-wheel drive, paired with an 81.4 kWh battery. The EV3 GT delivers 215 kW (292 PS) and 468 Nm – a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration of 5.7 seconds and a WLTP range of up to around 501 km – while the EV4 GT, in its hatchback and fastback forms, uses the same powertrain for a 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and ranges of up to 537 km (fastback) and 505 km (hatchback). The EV5 GT offers 225 kW (306 PS) and 480 Nm, delivering 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds – a more practical family-oriented option with a WLTP range of up to approximately 476 km. Common GT technologies across the line-up include special chassis tuning, Preview Electronic Controlled Suspension, Virtual Gear Shift with Active Sound Design, launch control and special design elements – including neon accents, sport seats and distinctive wheels – without compromising day-to-day usability and comfort.

The two-fold expansion of battery-electric and hybrid models directly supports Kia’s strong sales performance. Demand has been particularly high in key markets including France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain and Italy – driven by accessible EVs such as the EV3, along with the new additions and popular hybrids such as the Sportage HEV. By offering choice and providing a wide-range of electrified powertrains, across a variety of body styles and segments, Kia is facilitating customers’ transition towards less emission-heavy motoring without sacrificing style, technology and driving enjoyment. The Paris Motor Show presentation is a demonstration of how the brand’s strategy of continuous portfolio expansion is resulting in tangible market leadership and strong sales momentum in one of the world’s most competitive automotive regions.
