Saudi Arabia’s first ever home-grown electric car brand CEER has revealed the first ever Exobot models as part of the Kingdom’s plans for a local car industry as detailed in Vision 2030. The brand new sedans and SUVs both feature a dramatic design and a concept-car like appeal, and the two are based on the same chassis which provides an innovative electric drive train. These two models, which will be manufactured in the CEER Manufacturing Complex in King Abdullah Economic City, represent the first step in a planned expansion to a seven-model line-up by 2030.The electric Exobot cars feature an 800 volt system and 112 kWh battery which allows the battery to charge up from 10 to 80 percent in under 30 minutes. With a claimed range of up to 670 km on the NEDC cycle for the sedan, and 560 km for the taller SUV, both the sedan and SUV are powered by a tri-motor all-wheel drive system which provides exceptional response and control via torque vectoring and active chassis systems.

CEER will initially launch the Exobot as a limited First Edition before introducing a more mainstream Exobot Plus model later on. With three powerful electric motors the First Edition produces a combined 850 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque, allowing the sedan to rocket from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds and the SUV to manage the same in 2.9 seconds. Exclusive Black Pack exterior treatment featuring red brake calipers comes with the First Edition, alongside black-and-red Nappa leather interiors, debossed First Edition badges on the headrests, bespoke floor mats and an individual numbered plaque which matches the vehicle’s VIN. Customers have the choice between Harrat Grey and White Musk exterior paint for this special First Edition.

The more powerful Exobot Plus model follows on from the First Edition, featuring a tweaked tri-motor set-up which produces higher levels of power at 1,111 horsepower and 1,500 Nm of torque. With these increases in performance the Plus model reduces the 0-100 km/h time to 2.1 seconds for the sedan and 2.4 seconds for the SUV, with a top speed of 250 km/h for the former and 210 km/h for the latter. Maintaining the same 112 kWh battery and 800 volt system, the Plus model offers more options for personalisation on the exterior and interior of the vehicle.

The Exobot features a striking design which sees the long, flowing lines stretch across the sweeping 2.4 meter windshield — the largest in production cars — and the nearly three-meter Shahin Wing doors open upwards and backwards with an expansive vista. The elimination of B-pillars, usually found on such door configurations, are achieved with the aid of high-performance materials for the strength needed in the structure. Inside, occupants are treated to a massive 48-inch curved 8K display which spans the width of the dash, and further screens for the driver and rear-seat passengers. Steer-by-wire technology and rear-wheel steering add to the futuristic driving experience, while features to cope with the region’s hot climate have also been developed, including thermal management and heat-reflective glass.

CEER, a joint venture between the Public Investment Fund and Foxconn established in 2022, has worked in partnership with companies like Rimac — for the rear motor — and Hyundai Transys — for the front motors. Deliveries of the Exobot are set to commence in early 2027 and will initially be available in Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf region, as the brand looks to establish itself as a serious contender in the global EV market.
