BYD India has expanded its premium electric SUV lineup with the introduction of the new Sealion 7 Dynamic, launched at an introductory price of ₹41.90 lakh. The addition strengthens the Sealion 7 family, which first arrived in India in 2025 and has already surpassed 4,000 units in sales. With more than 15,000 BYD customers across the country and a growing network of 49 showrooms spanning 40 cities, the company continues to deepen its presence in the Indian electric vehicle market.
The Sealion 7 Dynamic is powered by a 71.8 kWh Blade Battery and features rear-wheel drive. It delivers 170 kW of power and 380 Nm of torque, enabling a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 7.3 seconds. The model claims a range of 520 km under the NEDC cycle, positioning it as a compelling option for buyers seeking both performance and long-distance capability. With this launch, the Sealion 7 range now comprises three variants — Dynamic, Premium and Performance — offering customers greater choice across different levels of specification and capability.
Built on BYD’s dedicated e-Platform 3.0, the Sealion 7 Dynamic combines a sleek, aerodynamic design inspired by the brand’s Ocean Aesthetics philosophy with its core electric vehicle technologies. At the heart of the vehicle sits the ultra-safe Blade Battery, complemented by Cell-to-Body technology that enhances structural rigidity and safety. Additional highlights include Intelligence Torque Adaptation Control, a panoramic glass roof, a rotating touchscreen infotainment system, and an extensive suite of safety and driver assistance technologies designed to elevate everyday driving confidence.
The new Dynamic variant is also included in BYD India’s ‘Celebrate Your Dreams with BYD’ festive campaign, which began on August 1, 2026. Customers opting for the model during the campaign period will receive a complimentary 7 kW home charger along with installation, a 10-year roadside assistance coverage extension, and a 10-year or 1.5 lakh km extended warranty on the LFP low-voltage battery, whichever comes first. These benefits are intended to enhance ownership convenience and long-term peace of mind.
