Bolt.Earth Partners with Ather Energy to Tackle Range Anxiety for Electric Two-Wheeler Riders

In a significant boost for electric two-wheeler owners in India, Bolt.Earth, the country’s largest EV charging network, has announced a strategic partnership with Ather Energy. This collaboration integrates Bolt.Earth’s high-speed Blaze DC fast-charging network directly into the Ather ecosystem, offering thousands of Ather scooter riders seamless and convenient access to reliable fast charging.

Announced on March 26, 2026, the partnership addresses one of the biggest concerns for EV two-wheeler users — range anxiety — by making fast charging more accessible, predictable, and easy to use across the country.

Ather Energy riders can now discover, locate, and book LECCS-enabled Blaze DC fast chargers directly through the Ather mobile app and the scooter’s dashboard. This deep integration eliminates the need to switch between multiple apps, delivering a smooth, unified charging experience.Riders can simply plug in, scan, pay, and charge using the Bolt.Earth app while enjoying full visibility of charger availability and status within their familiar Ather interface.

Through this collaboration, more than 195 Blaze DC 3 kW fast chargers (equipped with Type 7 connectors under the LECCS standard) are now available to Ather users. These chargers are spread across 100+ cities, including major hubs such as:

  • Bengaluru
  • Mysuru
  • Chennai
  • Hyderabad
  • Visakhapatnam
  • Kochi
  • Kozhikode

and many more locations nationwide.

The Blaze DC chargers are designed specifically for electric two-wheelers and deliver impressive performance — providing up to 40 km of range in just 15 minutes, depending on the model and battery condition. This makes them ideal for both daily commuters looking for quick top-ups and riders planning longer inter-city journeys.

Bolt.Earth’s adoption of the LECCS (Light Electric Vehicle Charging Communication Standard) Type 7 connector ensures compatibility not just with Ather scooters but with other LECCS-enabled electric two-wheelers as well. This move promotes greater interoperability in India’s EV ecosystem, reducing fragmentation and encouraging wider adoption of fast-charging infrastructure.

Commenting on the partnership, representatives from both companies highlighted the focus on convenience and scale. By combining Ather’s strong rider base with Bolt.

Earth’s extensive network (which already includes over 100,000 chargers across 1,900+ cities), the collaboration aims to make fast charging a seamless part of the daily EV ownership experience.

Electric two-wheelers dominate India’s EV market, but limited access to reliable fast-charging options has often held back potential buyers. This partnership directly tackles that barrier by expanding high-speed charging access without requiring riders to rely solely on Ather’s own Grid network. For existing Ather owners, it means greater freedom to travel confidently. For the broader industry, it signals growing collaboration between vehicle manufacturers and charging infrastructure providers — a critical step toward building a robust national EV ecosystem.

Availability: The integrated chargers are live and accessible immediately for Ather riders via the Ather app and Bolt.Earth network. As India pushes towards ambitious electric mobility targets, partnerships like this between Bolt.Earth and Ather Energy are expected to play a key role in building rider confidence and accelerating the shift to sustainable two-wheeler mobility.
