Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has officially launched the All-New Honda ZR-V e:HEV, marking the arrival of the brand’s new flagship SUV in the Indian market. The premium hybrid SUV is priced at an introductory ₹47.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and customer deliveries have begun immediately.

Imported from Japan as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), the ZR-V e:HEV brings Honda’s advanced strong-hybrid technology, sophisticated design, and premium features to Indian customers seeking a refined and efficient midsize SUV.

Since its global debut in 2022, the Honda ZR-V has achieved impressive cumulative sales of over 800,000 units worldwide. In India, it is positioned as Honda’s top-of-the-line model, embodying the brand’s latest advancements in hybrid powertrains, safety, comfort, and driving dynamics.

Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd., said, “Positioned as our flagship model in the India line-up, ZR-V embodies Honda’s global advancements in Strong Hybrid technology, design, comfort and safety, offering customers a truly sophisticated and engaging driving experience.” He also highlighted the strong pre-booking response, noting that the first two batches for the Indian market are already booked

At the heart of the ZR-V e:HEV is Honda’s 2.0-litre e:HEV Sports Hybrid powertrain, which combines a direct-injection Atkinson-cycle petrol engine with a dual-motor hybrid system and an e-CVT transmission. The system delivers:

  • Combined maximum power: 184 PS (5,000–6,000 rpm)
  • Maximum torque: 315 Nm (0–2,000 rpm)
  • Claimed fuel efficiency: 22.80 km/l
  • 0–100 km/h acceleration: 7.9 seconds

The powertrain intelligently switches between EV, hybrid, and engine modes for optimal efficiency and performance. It drives the front wheels and offers multiple drive modes including Sport, Normal, and Eco.

The ZR-V features a bold, sporty exterior with a hexagonal grille, LED headlamps with L-shaped DRLs, wraparound LED taillights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a roof spoiler. Inside, it offers a premium cabin highlighted by a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, powered front seats, and a 12-speaker Bose audio system

Safety is a priority with Honda SENSING Level 2 ADAS, 8 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and other advanced driver assistance features.

Priced at ₹47.99 lakh (introductory ex-showroom, Delhi), the ZR-V e:HEV competes in the premium hybrid and midsize SUV segment against models like the Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq, and Jeep Meridian. It comes with a standard 3-year/unlimited km warranty, extendable up to 7 or 10 years under specific programmes, along with complimentary roadside assistance.

With its strong hybrid efficiency, engaging performance, premium positioning, and flagship status, the Honda ZR-V e:HEV is set to strengthen Honda’s presence in India’s growing electrified SUV market. Interested buyers can visit Honda dealerships or book online, with deliveries already underway.
