Harley-Davidson’s electric motorcycle division, LiveWire, has officially launched production of its new entry-level electric mini-motos — the S4 Honcho Trail and S4 Honcho Street. These compact, fun-focused machines mark LiveWire’s push into more accessible, lightweight electric riding, targeting new riders, urban commuters, RV owners, and off-road enthusiasts.
Two Variants for Different Adventures
- S4 Honcho Trail: Designed for backyards, campgrounds, pump tracks, ranches, and light off-road use. It does not require a license for enclosed off-road areas in many markets.
- S4 Honcho Street: Street-legal version suited for city riding, mountain towns, and everyday commutes. It qualifies for A1 licenses in Europe/UK and standard motorcycle endorsements in the US.
Both models draw inspiration from classic 1970s Harley-Davidson styling (the “Honcho” name) while delivering modern electric performance in a compact package with 12-inch wheels, removable batteries, and a reverse gear.

What About India launch?
As of now, there is no official announcement regarding the launch or availability of the S4 Honcho in India. Indian automotive media outlets have covered the UK/European reveal and converted prices to rupees for reference, but LiveWire/Harley-Davidson has not confirmed timelines, pricing, or regulatory approvals for the Indian market.
Harley-Davidson already sells motorcycles in India and has promoted LiveWire models on its Indian website, but the current LiveWire lineup (higher-end models like the One and S2 series) remains limited or aspirational there due to pricing, charging infrastructure, and regulations. The more affordable S4 Honcho could be a strong fit for India’s growing interest in electric two-wheelers — especially in urban and semi-urban segments — if brought in. Broader global availability is expanding in 2026, so Indian enthusiasts should watch for updates from Harley-Davidson India or LiveWire. Factors like FAME incentives (if applicable), import duties, and local homologation will influence eventual pricing and launch feasibility.
