Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the 2026 Tata Tiago EV Facelift on May 28, 2026. This update transforms the popular urban electric hatchback with a sharper, more aggressive design, modern features, and potential improvements in range and ownership costs.

The 2026 Tiago EV sheds its previous soft curves for a more contemporary and premium look. Key exterior highlights include:

  • A completely blanked-out body-colored grille at the front, giving it a sleek, EV-specific identity.
  • New slim LED headlights with updated styling.
  • Connected LED taillamps at the rear for a wider, more modern appearance.
  • Fresh alloy wheel designs and revised bumpers.

These changes make the Tiago EV look significantly more upmarket while retaining its compact, city-friendly proportions.

The facelift brings meaningful additions focused on convenience and safety:

  • 360-degree camera — now confirmed, a major first for the Tiago EV. It will make tight city parking much easier.
  • Likely a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
  • Updated instrument cluster.
  • Six airbags as standard across variants for enhanced safety.

One of the biggest expectations from the 2026 Tiago EV Facelift is the introduction of larger battery packs. Following the strategy seen in the Punch EV, Tata is expected to offer improved battery options (possibly 24 kWh or higher), targeting a real-world range closer to or beyond the current 250+ km mark.

The facelift is also rumored to support Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), which could dramatically lower the upfront purchase price. This model allows buyers to pay a lower ex-showroom cost and subscribe to the battery usage separately — a move that could make the Tiago EV one of the most affordable electric hatchbacks in India.
