Tesla has officially opened its first Experience Centre in Bengaluru, marking a major expansion in South India. Located at VR Bengaluru near Phoenix Market City on Whitefield Main Road, the new facility comes shortly after the company’s outlets in Mumbai and Delhi.
This is Tesla’s fourth Experience Centre in India and the first in the tech capital, strategically positioned in the heart of Bengaluru’s IT corridor to target professionals and early EV adopters. The centre will serve as a showroom for test drives, consultations, vehicle configuration, and after-sales service support.
Visitors can now experience Tesla’s popular electric SUVs at the new centre:
- Tesla Model Y — The versatile five-seater electric SUV that has been a strong performer globally and in India.
- Tesla Model Y L — The newly launched three-row, six-seater (2+2+2) long-wheelbase variant designed for Indian families. It offers enhanced rear-seat comfort, captain seats in the second row, and impressive practicality.
The Model Y L is priced from ₹61.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and boasts a claimed WLTP range of up to 681 km, dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration, and 0-100 km/h acceleration in around 5 seconds.
Tesla’s entry into Bengaluru strengthens its retail footprint in one of India’s largest and most EV-conscious markets. The company has been gradually building its presence since 2025, starting with experience centres in Mumbai (BKC) and Delhi (Aerocity), followed by a more comprehensive facility in Gurugram.
The Whitefield centre also introduces robust after-sales and service support, addressing a key concern for premium EV buyers in the region.Industry experts view this move as a significant step for Tesla as it ramps up efforts in India’s growing luxury electric vehicle segment, where demand for spacious, long-range, and tech-rich SUVs is rising rapidly.
Tesla, led by Elon Musk, is a global leader in electric vehicles, energy storage, and solar solutions. The company is committed to accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy through innovative products and cutting-edge technology.
Customers in Bengaluru can now visit the VR Bengaluru Experience Centre to explore, test drive, and configure Tesla vehicles. Bookings for the Model Y and Model Y L are open via Tesla’s official India website, with deliveries expected to commence soon.
