April 2026 Electric Two-Wheeler Sales Report: Top 11 Revealed – Who’s Winning the EV Race in India?

The complete electric two-wheeler sales data for April 2026 is finally out. A smart buyer never purchases an EV without checking the latest sales figures. It’s important to know which scooter is actually selling in big numbers and which one is struggling.Let’s take a look at the Top 11 electric two-wheelers in India for April 2026.

Position 1: TVS iQube – 32,655 units

And finally, the undisputed champion of April 2026 electric two-wheeler sales is the TVS iQube, which registered a massive 32,655 units.TVS has once again proved its dominance in the electric scooter segment by beating its closest rival Bajaj by around 1,000 units. This is an extremely close battle at the top, but TVS has successfully retained the No.1 spot for the month.

Just a few years ago, TVS was struggling in the EV space. There was a time when dealers used to put up banners and tents on the roads to attract customers to come and test ride the Chetak and iQube. Back then, Ola Electric was ruling the market, and hardly anyone was paying attention to legacy two-wheeler brands.

Position 2: Bajaj Chetak – 31,600 units

At the second position in April 2026 is Bajaj Chetak, which sold an impressive 31,600 units.

This is an extremely close contest at the top. Bajaj missed the number one spot by just around 1,000 units compared to TVS. The gap is so narrow that the final numbers could still shift slightly depending on the last day’s registration data.

Bajaj’s performance is remarkable, especially when you look back four years. There was a time when Bajaj was desperately trying to push its electric scooters — dealers used to set up tents on the roadside just to get people to test ride the Chetak. At that time, Ola Electric dominated the market so strongly that other brands were barely visible.

But the story has completely flipped today. Bajaj has made a strong comeback with the Chetak, thanks to its solid build quality (often praised as “iron-like”), reliable performance, and the trust that comes with the Bajaj brand name. The widespread service network across India is also playing a major role in its rising sales.

Position 3: Ather Energy – 20,000+ units

Ather Energy sold more than 20,000 units in April. The Rizta continues to be their top-selling model. Ather deserves huge credit for its consistent performance. The upcoming EL01 platform is expected to bring even better power, range, and pricing. If you haven’t watched the detailed video on Ather EL01, make sure to check it out.

Last month (March), Ather had sold nearly 29,000 units. The big jump in March was due to panic buying before the financial year-end, as people feared offers would end or prices would increase from April 1. Now buyers are relatively safe until at least July 31.

Position 4: Hero Vida – 14,198 units

Hero’s electric arm, Vida, sold 14,198 units this month. If deliveries improve and supply meets demand, Vida has the potential to climb even higher. Last month they had sold over 21,000 units. Hero Vida is a very good product. I personally own one and can vouch for it. However, it has moved away from easy online availability. Earlier, buyers could get good card discounts and offers of ₹10,000–15,000. Hero should consider bringing strong online offers back to make it more accessible

Position 5: Ola Electric – 11,389 units

Ola Electric sold 11,389 units in April 2026. After a tough period, Ola has managed to stage a comeback. In March they had crossed 10,000 units, and April also looks decent. A big part of the credit goes to their wide product roster and attractive offers. (Note: Final numbers may vary slightly by 100–200 units. I’ll update in the comments once the data is fully confirmed.)

Position 6: Ampere – 6,225 units

Ampere delivered a strong performance with 6,225 units sold. The brand is showing consistent growth month after month. Recently, Ampere refreshed the Magnus model with new colours. It offers good range and is well-suited for daily use with its swappable battery option.

Position 7: River Indie – 3,370 units (approx.)River Indie sold approximately 3,370 units this month. Their monthly sales usually hover between 2,500 to 3,500 units. River has tied up with Yamaha, and the upcoming Yamaha EV is expected to share similar DNA. It will be sold under a different brand name at a slightly higher price. For daily commuting, the River Indie remains a solid and practical choice.

Position 8: BGauss Motors – 2,810 units

BGauss Motors sold 2,810 units. Many people remember BGauss for their electric scooters with big wheels, which made them quite popular when they launched. Tell me in the comments — by what name is BGauss famous in your city or area?

Position 9: Simple Energy – 1,400 units (approx.)

Simple Energy registered around 1,400 units. Last month they had sold over 10,700 units, showing high fluctuation. Their sales are still heavily concentrated in South India, though they are slowly expanding to the North. If Simple Energy is available in your area, it’s worth considering.

Position 10: Revolt Motors – 748 units

Revolt Motors sold 748 units. This is interesting because Revolt has been in the Indian EV bike scene since the early days, even before the EV culture properly took off. Their scooters are liked by many, and they have a decent showroom presence in several districts. Still, the numbers remain low.

Position 11: Oben Electric – 542 units

Oben Electric sold only 542 units this month. The main reason for such low sales is that the brand is not yet available pan-India. However, Oben has teased a new product recently. Let’s see if their upcoming launches can build customer trust and boost volumes, as they have been selling only 500–600 units consistently for a while.
