Ather Energy Crosses 700 Experience Centres Across India, Doubles Retail Network in One Year

Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler maker Ather Energy has significantly strengthened its presence in the Indian market by expanding its retail footprint to over 700 Experience Centres (ECs) nationwide.

The company added more than 350 new Experience Centres in the last financial year (FY26), effectively doubling its network from 351 centres as of March 31, 2025. This rapid expansion reflects Ather’s aggressive push to improve accessibility, especially in Tier-2, Tier-3, and emerging “Middle India” markets.

While Ather initially built its reputation in major cities, the latest phase of growth has seen a clear focus on smaller cities and towns. The expanded network is expected to bring Ather’s premium electric scooters closer to a larger customer base, making test rides, service, and ownership experience more convenient for aspiring EV buyers.

This retail boom comes at a time when the electric two-wheeler segment is witnessing healthy growth, and Ather continues to solidify its position as one of the leading premium EV brands in the country.

Ather currently holds the third-highest market share in India’s electric two-wheeler industry, behind legacy giants TVS Motor and Bajaj Auto. The company’s strong performance has been driven by popular models like the Ather Rizta family scooter, which has found strong acceptance among urban and semi-urban families. With its growing retail presence, Ather aims to convert more customers in smaller cities who are shifting from traditional scooters to smart, feature-rich electric alternatives.

The Experience Centres are more than just showrooms — they serve as complete brand touchpoints where customers can experience Ather’s ecosystem, including test rides, detailed product explanations, financing options, and after-sales support. This massive scaling of the retail network is expected to play a key role in boosting Ather’s sales momentum and further increasing its market penetration in the coming months.
