Tesla Opens India’s First In-Mall Supercharger Station at Nexus Seawoods, Navi Mumbai

Tesla has taken a significant step in expanding its charging infrastructure in India by inaugurating the country’s first-ever in-mall Supercharger station at Nexus Seawoods Mall in Navi Mumbai on April 6, 2026.

Located conveniently in the mall’s B1 basement parking area, this new facility is designed to make charging hassle-free for Tesla owners while they shop, dine, or enjoy leisure time at one of Navi Mumbai’s premier retail destinations.

The station features eight charging points:

  • Four V4 Superchargers offering DC fast charging with peak speeds of up to 250 kW
  • Four Destination Chargers providing AC charging at 11 kW

According to Tesla, a Model Y can add up to 267–275 km of range in just 15 minutes of Supercharging — enough for a comfortable round trip between Navi Mumbai and Pune.

With the addition of this site, Tesla’s charging network in India now stands at four locations with a total of 20 Superchargers and 14 Destination Chargers. The company already operates stations in Gurugram, Delhi (Aerocity), and Mumbai (One BKC).

This marks a strategic shift toward placing chargers in high-footfall urban locations such as malls, making EV ownership more convenient for daily users in densely populated cities.

By integrating fast-charging infrastructure inside a popular shopping mall, Tesla is addressing one of the biggest concerns for potential EV buyers in India — range anxiety and charging accessibility.

Owners can now plug in their vehicles while enjoying retail therapy, movies, or family outings, turning charging time into productive or leisure time. This launch reinforces Tesla’s commitment to building a robust and user-friendly charging ecosystem as it prepares for wider adoption of its electric vehicles in the Indian market.
