VinFast is making a strong push into India’s expanding electric vehicle market with the release of the first official teaser for its highly anticipated 7-seater electric MPV. Slated to arrive in showrooms by mid-April 2026, the new people-mover will be available in two distinct variants: the Limo Green, primarily targeted at fleet operators, taxi services, and commercial users, and the MPV 7 (also known as VF MPV 7), which is positioned as a more premium option for private buyers and families.
The vehicle has already been undergoing extensive testing on Indian roads in camouflaged form, giving enthusiasts a glimpse of its practical, upright stance and generous proportions. Measuring around 4,740 mm in length with a long 2,840 mm wheelbase, it promises exceptional interior roominess across three rows, making it suitable for both daily commutes and longer family journeys. Ground clearance of approximately 170 mm and 18-inch alloy wheels should help it tackle typical Indian road conditions with ease.
The teaser highlights VinFast’s distinctive V-shaped LED lighting signature at both the front and rear, creating a strong visual identity that links it to the brand’s existing VF6 and VF7 SUVs. The overall design remains clean and functional — tall and boxy for maximum cabin space, with large windows for an airy feel and aerodynamic elements to support efficiency. The MPV 7 variant is likely to feature slightly more upscale exterior touches, such as additional chrome accents and refined wheel designs, compared to the straightforward, durability-focused Limo Green.
Step inside, and the cabin adopts a minimalist, modern layout. A large floating 10.1-inch touchscreen dominates the dashboard, supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Expect features like synthetic leather seats, automatic climate control with PM2.5 filtration, and air vents for all three rows. The third row is designed to be more accommodating than in many rivals, while folding the rear seats can unlock substantial luggage space for weekend getaways or airport runs.
Power comes from a front-mounted electric motor delivering 201 bhp and 280 Nm of torque. This setup provides smooth, responsive performance suitable for a seven-seater, with adequate acceleration for city and highway driving. A 60.13 kWh battery pack is claimed to deliver up to 450 km of range on the NEDC cycle. In real-world Indian conditions — with air-conditioning, traffic, and varying loads — owners can realistically expect 350–400 km per charge, which is competitive for daily fleet duties or family use.
Charging is straightforward and fast: an 80 kW DC fast charger can take the battery from 10% to 70% in just 30 minutes. Home or depot charging via 11 kW AC is also supported, making it convenient for overnight top-ups.
VinFast appears to have smartly segmented the offering. The Limo Green focuses on low operating costs, robustness, and quick turnaround times — ideal for ride-hailing companies, corporate fleets, and airport taxis. The MPV 7, on the other hand, targets private customers seeking a spacious, zero-emission alternative to conventional MPVs like the Toyota Innova Crysta or Kia Carens.
It will go head-to-head with emerging electric rivals such as the BYD eMax 7 and the upcoming Kia Carens Clavis EV. With an expected price band of roughly ₹19.9 – 23.9 lakh (ex-showroom), the MPV 7 could offer strong value, especially once local assembly begins at VinFast’s Tamil Nadu facility.Safety equipment is expected to include multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic parking brake, rear parking sensors, and a reverse camera, with the possibility of additional driver-assistance features on higher trims.
This electric MPV represents VinFast’s third model launch in India following the VF6 and VF7 SUVs, signalling the Vietnamese manufacturer’s serious commitment to the country’s electric mobility transition. By offering a practical, range-competitive 7-seater with dual appeal for both commercial and personal buyers, VinFast aims to carve out a meaningful share in the expanding family EV and fleet segments.
More details — including full feature lists, variant-wise pricing, and exact launch date — are expected in the coming days as the teaser campaign builds momentum. If you’re in the market for a spacious electric people-mover with fast-charging capability and modern styling, VinFast’s upcoming MPV could be one to watch closely.
