JSW MG Motor India has announced a price revision of up to 2% across its mainstream vehicle portfolio, effective from April 1, 2026. The move is aimed at partially offsetting the impact of continuously rising input and production costs. The price hike will apply to both electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) models in the regular lineup, while premium MG Select models — such as the Cyberster electric sports car and the M9 electric MPV — will remain unaffected.
The upcoming price increase covers the brand’s popular offerings, including:
- MG Windsor EV — MG’s bestseller CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle) that has been dominating EV sales charts
- MG ZS EV
- MG Comet EV
- Other mainstream models like the Hector, Astor, and Gloster (until it is replaced by the upcoming Majestor)
The exact increase will vary by model and variant, with the maximum revision capped at around 2%. Customers planning to buy any of these vehicles are advised to finalise their purchase before the end of March 2026 to avoid the new prices.
In an official statement, JSW MG Motor India said the adjustment is necessary due to sustained pressure from rising raw material costs, logistics, and other input expenses that have been affecting the entire automotive industry. This is not the first time MG has revised prices; the company has periodically adjusted them in the past to manage cost inflation while trying to keep its vehicles competitively positioned in the market.
For EV buyers, the hike comes at a time when the MG Windsor EV continues to enjoy strong demand. Even after the increase, the Windsor is expected to remain one of the more value-for-money options in the affordable electric crossover segment.Industry experts note that such marginal hikes (usually 1-2%) are common every financial year and are generally absorbed gradually through dealer-level offers or variant-specific adjustments.
What Should Buyers Do?
- If you are considering the MG Windsor EV, ZS EV, Comet EV, or any other mainstream MG model, it is advisable to book or purchase before March 31, 2026.
- Check with your nearest MG dealership for exact variant-wise price differences post-April 1.

This price revision reflects the broader challenges faced by automakers in balancing rising costs with competitive pricing in India’s highly price-sensitive passenger vehicle market.Stay tuned for more updates as JSW MG Motor India prepares to launch new models, including the much-awaited Majestor SUV, in the coming months.
