JSW Motors Limited, the new energy passenger vehicle arm of the JSW Group, has announced a long-term strategic partnership with French technology leader Dassault Systèmes. The collaboration aims to fast-track the design, engineering, and manufacturing of JSW Motors’ upcoming range of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), including electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).Under the agreement, JSW Motors will deploy Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform as its core digital backbone across the entire vehicle lifecycle — from concept design and engineering to validation, manufacturing, and lifecycle management.
The partnership will establish an integrated Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) ecosystem using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This includes advanced tools such as CATIA for design and ENOVIA for collaboration. Additionally, manufacturing operations will leverage DELMIA applications to create a seamless Manufacturing Execution System (MES).This unified digital platform is expected to:
- Significantly reduce development timelines
- Improve collaboration across teams
- Enhance product quality and innovation
- Optimise resource utilisation
- Lower the overall carbon footprint of manufacturing processes
The move supports JSW Motors’ ambition to develop India-centric NEVs with a strong focus on localisation, helping the company build unique product identities while managing the increasing complexity of software-defined vehicles.
Ranjan Nayak, CEO of JSW Motors, emphasised the importance of the partnership in strengthening the company’s independent EV strategy. By adopting a world-class digital platform, JSW aims to accelerate innovation while deepening localisation of its supply chain and product development capabilities in India.
Deepak NG, Managing Director of Dassault Systèmes India, noted that the 3DEXPERIENCE platform will empower JSW Motors to handle end-to-end integration across the value chain, enabling faster time-to-market for its upcoming electric and hybrid models.
