Bolt.Earth and Ather Energy have announced a strategic partnership that significantly enhances charging convenience for Ather scooter owners across India.Under the collaboration, unveiled on March 26, 2026, Ather riders can now locate, book, and use Bolt.Earth’s LECCS-enabled Blaze DC fast chargers directly through the Ather App and the scooter’s digital dashboard. This seamless integration eliminates the need to switch between multiple platforms for everyday charging needs.Riders also retain full access to book and initiate charging sessions via the Bolt.Earth EV Charging App, creating a flexible dual-access system that prioritises user convenience.
The partnership immediately makes available more than 195 Blaze DC fast chargers equipped with Type 7 connectors compliant with the LECCS (Light Electric Vehicle Charging Communication System) standard. These 3 kW DC chargers are spread across 100+ cities, giving Ather owners wider and more reliable fast-charging options beyond Ather’s own Grid network. This move is expected to substantially reduce range anxiety for Ather scooter users, especially during longer intra-city rides or when public charging is required.
The tie-up reflects a growing industry trend towards open, interoperable charging networks. By integrating Bolt.Earth’s Blaze DC infrastructure into the Ather ecosystem, the partnership strengthens the overall charging experience without requiring any additional hardware or major software overhauls for riders.Ather scooter owners can enjoy:
- Real-time charger availability and location on the Ather App and dashboard
- Direct booking and charging initiation
- Faster top-up times thanks to DC fast charging capability
- Continued access through Bolt.Earth’s own app for added flexibility
This collaboration comes at a time when electric two-wheeler adoption is accelerating rapidly in India. By combining Ather’s strong rider base and in-house software expertise with Bolt.Earth’s extensive public charging footprint, the partnership aims to make daily EV usage more practical and hassle-free.
Bolt.Earth, one of India’s largest EV charging network operators, continues to expand its Blaze DC series, which is designed for universal compatibility with light electric vehicles, including scooters and motorcycles.
While the initial rollout covers over 195 chargers, both companies are expected to deepen integration and expand the network further in the coming months. The partnership is likely to serve as a model for future collaborations between OEMs and charging infrastructure providers in India.
For Ather riders, the announcement delivers immediate value — more charging points, faster charging speeds, and a smoother, more integrated experience, all accessible without leaving the familiar Ather ecosystem.
